Von Nizza auf der N 202 Am Fluss Var entlang 32 km nordwärts. Dann biegen wir in das Vallée de Tinée ab, fahren auf der D 2205 im Tal 50 km aufwärts bis 5,5 km vor St Etienne de Tinée bzw. Auron. Hier links abbiegen und auf der D 61 7km hinauf nach Roya und an der Ortschaft vorbei bis zu einem Parkplatz, der von einem verfallenden Bildstock überragt wird. Hier Auto abstellen.

From Nice on the N 202 along the Var River northward for 32 km. Then turn into the Vallée de Tinée, go up the valley on the D 2205 for 50 km until 5.5 km before St Etienne de Tinée or Auron. Turn left here and drive up the D 61 for 7km to Roya and past the village to a parking area overlooked by a decaying wayside shrine. Park the car here.

Auf der Piste leicht ansteigend weiter und immer auf dieser bleiben, bis sie bei einigen verfallenen Häusern zuerst in einen Wiesenweg, später dann in einen Pfad übergeht. Wir queren auf einer Brücke den Bach. Der Weg zieht jenseits etwas bergan und dann oben entlang an der Schlucht, bis bei einen Bachbett der Abstieg erfolgen kann.

Continue slightly uphill on the dirt road and always stay on it until it turns first into a meadow path at some dilapidated houses, then later into a path. We cross the stream on a bridge. The path goes up a little on the other side and then along the top of the canyon until the descent can be made at a streambed.
