Die italienische A 10 (Genua - Nizza) bei der Ausfahrt Arma di Taggia (etwa in der Mitte zwischen Imperia und Ventmiglia) verlassen. Dann auf der SP 548 das Tal der Argentina aufwärts Richtung Triora. Nach 8 km durchfährt man Badalucco, 12 km danach, direkt vor der Ortschaft Molini di Triora, biegen wir links ab auf die SP 65 in Richtung Colla Langan. Wir überqueren die Argentina und erreichen 2 km nach der Abzweigung die erste Linkskehre, wo wir das Auto abstellen.

Leave the Italian A 10 (Genoa - Nice) at the Arma di Taggia exit (about halfway between Imperia and Ventmiglia). Then take the SP 548 up the valley of the Argentina towards Triora. After 8 km we pass through Badalucco, 12 km after that, just before the village of Molini di Triora, we turn left onto the SP 65 towards Colla Langan. We cross the Argentina and 2 km after the turnoff we reach the first leftward haipin bend, where we park the car.

Von der Straßenkehre nehmen wir den Fußweg, der in nördlicher Richtung über der Argentina leicht ansteigend zu dem baufälligen (2009) Steg über den Grognardo führt. Hier in den Grognardo einsteigen (vgl. Näheres dort). Unmittelbar nach Ende der Dunkelklamm (also vor dem beschriebenen Ende des Grognardo) den Spuren links hinauf folgen und den Pfad nach Norden nehmen, der über dem orograf. rechten Ufer der Argentina leicht aufwärts zieht. Wir kommen zur mittelalterlichen Steinbrücke Ponte di Mauta (540 m ü.NN) und steigen oberhalb der Brücke in die Argentina ein. Hier kommen wir unter Einsparung der üblichen Laufstrecke bis dahin gleich zum ersten attraktiven Abschnitt unter der Brücke.

From the bend in the road, take the footpath that climbs slightly northwards over the Argentina to the dilapidated (2009) footbridge over the Grognardo. Enter the Grognardo here (see details there). Immediately after the end of the dark gorge (i.e. before the orographic exit of the Grognardo), follow the tracks up to the left and take the path to the north, which ascends slightly above the orographic right bank of the Argentina. We come to the medieval stone bridge Ponte di Mauta (540 m above sea level) and enter the Argentina above the bridge. Here we come to the first attractive part under the bridge, saving the usual running distance up to this point.

Zum Grognardo vgl. dort ! Nach dem Einstieg unter der Ponte di Muota beginnt man mit einem Sprung, kommt dann zu der höchsten Stufe, die man ebenfalls mit Sprüngen bewältigen kann. Dann eine längere Laufstrecke, bis am Ende der Tour einige fakultative Sprünge und die Rutsche in den Lago Degno die Tour abrunden.

Départ au dessus du pont de Loreto, le premier encaissement au niveau du pont de Mauta est magnifique, tout peut se sauter (ou tobogans) sans mettre la corde vu le niveau d'eau et les vasques bien profondes.Un spot qui mérite amplement sa note, l'arrivée dans la vasque du Lac degno est superbe.Parcouru en 2h à 2 en prenant notre temps, on a ensuite remonté RD pour enchainer Grognardo qui vaut le coup.Sortie par les cordes fixes RG avant la vasque du lac Degno, pour rejoindre le pont de Mauta et le parking près du pont de Loreto (20mns) (Quelle: https://www.descente-canyon.com/canyoning/canyon-debit/2960/observations.html)
