Important: The traffic in Kotor is extremely bad, and the parking is impossible to find. An alternate is to park at the top of the canyon near "Restaurant Nevjesta Jadrana" for free, then walk down a good path for 30 minutes to the canyon start. After the canyon, take a taxi back to the top, about €40. Von Tivat fährt man Richtung Süden. Beim großen Kreisverkehr (nach dem Flughafen) biegt man links Richtung Kotor ab. In Kotor fährt man beim kleinen Kreisverkehr gerade aus bis zur Brücke. Gleich nach der Brücke kommt man rechts zum Gebührenpflichtigen Parkplatz (ca. €2/Std.).

Important: The traffic in Kotor is extremely bad, and the parking is impossible to find. An alternate is to park at the top of the canyon near "Restaurant Nevjesta Jadrana" for free, then walk down a good path for 30 minutes to the canyon start. After the canyon, take a cab back to the top, about €40. From Tivat drive south. At the large traffic circle (after the airport) turn left towards Kotor. In Kotor, go straight on at the small traffic circle until you reach the bridge. Immediately after the bridge, turn right to the parking lot (about €2/hour).

(mit 2. PKW: 1h15min) Hat man beim Kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz vor dem Schulsportplatz geparkt, folgt man dem Weg vorbei an der Schule in Richtung der schon sichtbaren Schlucht. Nach Überquerung der ersten Brücke steht eine Wanderbeschilderung „Planinarska transverzala Orjen-Lovćen-Rumija“. Vorbei am Pumpenhäuschen und Steinbrücke folgt man den schönen Wanderweg in mehreren Serpentinen hoch bis zu einem Steinhaus auf ca. 220m An der darauffolgenden Serpentinenkurve mit Markierung könnte man den am Bergrücken sichtbaren Weg für den unteren Einstieg wählen. Dafür wird der Hauptweg hier links in Richtung Strommasten verlassen. Möchte man weiter oben einsteigen, folgt man den Hauptweg weiter hoch. (kleiner Tipp: auf ca. 400m kurz vor einem rostigen Strommasten kommt eine kleine Gabelung mit einer H2O Aufschrift am linken Wegrand. Hier kann man nach ca. 20m im kleinen Steinmauerstollen, Trinkwasser holen.) Nach den letzten Serpentinen hat man am Bergrücken eine wunderbare Aussicht auf die Bucht von Kotor und den umliegenden Bergen. Ab hier wird es flacher. Man folgt zuerst der Wegbeschriftung „Krstac“ und „Lovćen“. Bei der nächsten Weggabelung geht man links durch den Wald bis zur Mauer aus der KuK Zeit und dem Einstieg am Bach auf ca. 580m.

(with 2nd car: 1h15min) Once you have parked in the paid parking lot in front of the school sports field, follow the path past the school towards the already visible canyon. After crossing the first bridge, there is a hiking sign "Planinarska transverzala Orjen-Lovćen-Rumija". Past the pump house and stone bridge, follow the beautiful hiking trail in several serpentines up to a stone house at approx. 220 m. At the following serpentine bend with markings, you could choose the path visible on the ridge for the lower entry. To do this, leave the main path here on the left in the direction of the electricity pylons. If you want to enter further up, follow the main path further up. (A little tip: after approx. 400m, just before a rusty electricity pylon, there is a small fork with an H2O sign on the left-hand side of the path. Here you can get drinking water after approx. 20m in the small stone wall tunnel). After the last hairpin bends, you have a wonderful view of the Bay of Kotor and the surrounding mountains from the ridge. From here it becomes flatter. First follow the signs for "Krstac" and "Lovćen". At the next fork in the path, turn left through the forest to the wall from the KuK period and the entry point at the stream at approx. 580m.

Die Škurda hat über 30 Abseilstellen wobei das erste Drittel (ca. 1h) meist Wasserlos ist. In diesem Teil befindet sich auch die höchste Abseilstelle von 40m. am Anfang kommen 3 schöne Abseilstellen und eine lange Abkletterpassage. Nach einer kleinen Kaskade wird die Schlucht eingeschnittener und kontinuierlicher. Hier kommt ein Zufluss von rechts in die Schlucht der das meiste Wasser bringt. Es folgen ohne große Wegstrecke mehrere Abseilstellen (max. 35m) bis man in den eingeschnittenen schönen unteren Schluchtenabschnitt (Achtung! nach der 35m +10m Abseilstelle hat man eine mit „EXIT“ am Fels gekennzeichnete Ein-/Ausstiegsmöglichkeit auf der linken Seite.) Zu der letzten Abseilstelle von ca. 20m kann ein abziehbares Seilgeländer eingerichtet werden. Danach werden die letzten Meter der Schlucht bis zum Ausstieg auf ca. 10m abgeklettert/abgestiegen.

The Škurda has over 30 abseiling points, whereby the first third (approx. 1 hour) is mostly waterless. In this part there is also the highest abseil of 40m. At the beginning there are 3 beautiful abseils and a long downclimb. After a small cascade, the canyon becomes more incised and continuous. Here a tributary enters the canyon from the right, bringing most of the water. Several abseils (max. 35m) follow without much distance until you reach the beautiful, incised lower section of the gorge (be careful! after the 35m +10m abseil, there is an entry/exit point marked "EXIT" on the rock on the left). A removable rope traverse can be set up to the last abseiling point of approx. 20m. Then downclimb/descend the last few meters of the canyon to the exit at approx. 10m.

Man verlässt die Schlucht auf der rechten Seite auf ca. 10m und gelangt nach der Pumpstation sofort auf die Straße/Gebührenpflichtigen Parkplatz.

You leave the canyon on the right-hand side after about 10m and immediately after the pumping station you reach the road/paid parking lot.
