Sencillo barranco previo con escaso caudal salvo lluvias intensas, luego una preciosa travesía subterránea con salas de 30m de altura y finalmente otro cachito de barranco. Sin grandes dificultades pero muy interesante con caudales adecuados. Si no queremos hacer la parte superior, accederemos directamente por la salida de la cueva y haremos el recorrido de ida y vuelta.

Por la A8 salida 319 a Ribadesella Vamos a parar a la rotonda de Llovio, a la derecha tendríamos Ribadesella y a la izquierda Arriondas. Haremos la rotonda casi completa y antes de coger la carretera de vuelta a la autopista, tenemos una salida a una especie de vía de servicio, en donde está el almacén de mantenimiento vial. Aparcaremos por aquí

By the A8 exit 319 to Ribadesella. We are going to stop at the Llovio traffic circle, on the right we would have Ribadesella and on the left Arriondas. We will make the traffic circle almost complete and before taking the road back to the highway, we have an exit to a kind of service road, where is the road maintenance warehouse. We will park here

Saldremos por la senda que pasa bajo la autopista hasta el prado y la valla. Aquí tendremos dos opciones: 1ª Subir a la cueva directamente, para ello cruzamos la valla y subimos por el prado pegados al arroyo del Tinganón, gran parte del recorrido lo haremos por la derecha del arroyo y deberemos tener muchísimo cuidado puesto que las rocas pueden estar húmedas y la senda embarrada con el consiguiente peligro. Llegaremos a la entrada de la cueva en la que hay montado un pasamanos para poder remontar con cierta seguridad. 2º Hacerlo integral. En la ruta de wikiloc se indica un camino que realmente no existe como tal. Una gran parte del trayecto se hace campo a través, con una vegetación poco agradable (punzante) y recorridos con mucha pendiente y sin sombra. No es recomendable y puede ser peligroso. Mejor combinar con dos coches, dejando uno en el aparcamiento bajo la autopista y con el otro dirigirse al pueblo abandonado de Peme para buscar la cabecera del arroyo y bajar hasta que se encauza, unos cientos de metros antes del sumidero de la cueva.

We’ll set out on the trail that runs under the highway to the meadow and the fence. Here we’ll have two options: 1. Head directly up to the cave. To do this, we’ll cross the fence and climb up through the meadow along the Tinganón stream, most of the way will be on the right side of the stream, and we’ll need to be extremely careful since the rocks may be wet and the trail muddy, which can be dangerous. We’ll reach the cave entrance, where a handrail has been installed to help us climb up safely. 2. Take the full route. The Wikiloc route indicates a path that doesn’t actually exist as such. A large part of the journey is cross-country, through unpleasant (prickly) vegetation, with steep sections and no shade. This is not recommended and can be dangerous. It’s better to use two cars: leave one in the parking lot under the highway and drive the other to the abandoned village of Peme to find the headwaters of the stream and hike down until it enters the cave, a few hundred meters before the cave’s sinkhole.
