Verlassen Sie den Via Rapida (VR 1 / ER 101) an der Ausfahrt 3, Quinta Grande. Dann geht es Richtung Küste und Faja dos Padres. Nach gut 200 Metern biegen Sie scharf links ab und folgen der Straße bis zum Ende. Hier können Sie parken. Theoretisch ist auch eine Begehung mit Umparken möglich, aber es wird dringend davon abgeraten, ein zweites Auto an der Seilbahn zu parken, weil die Plätze dort knapp sind und für Tagesbesucher der Gärten gedacht sind. Zusätzlich ist der Rückweg zum Auto kurz und führt bergab.

Dann folgt eine bei hohem Wasserstand anspruchsvolle Abkletterstelle von 2 x 2 Metern. Noch ein paar Meter, und dann steht man an einer atemberaubenden Vertikale, die gute 250 Höhenmeter zum Atlantik abfällt. Es folgen: C 10, Haken auswärtig an Felsblock (unbedingt bis zur nächsten Verankerung am Seil bleiben!) C 35, Haken auswärtig am Felsblock (unbedingt bis zur nächsten Verankerung am Seil bleiben!) C 35, Haken links, Qualität zweifelhaft C 75, zwei Haken aus Dezember 2024, 12 mm, ca 10 Meter unter dem großen Baum rechts (bei hohem Wasserstand ist das Queren der Wasserlinie sportlich) ODER C80, zwei Haken knapp unterhalb des Baumes (bei hohem Wasserstand ist das Queren der Wasserlinie sportlich) Nun kann man sich kurz entspannen und die Reste eines Tanklastzuges bewundern. Weiter geht es: C 8, zwei Haken links C 60, Kettenstand vorne links am großen Felsblock C 35, zwei Haken an vorstehender Felsnase (ACHTUNG: bei hohem Wasserstand liegt dieser Ankerpunkt voll im Wasserstrahl) Damit liegen die hohen Vertikalen hinter einem und das Salz des Meeres ist schon zu spüren. Noch ein C 15 über zwei Stufen, ein Haken rechts und je nach Tide steht man im Wasser.

Es geht über den Kiesstrand nach rechts (Achtung, bei Flut und hohen Wellen wird die Passage unpassierbar, eventuell gibt es dann einen Weg oberhalb der letzten Stufe). Nach zwei schmalen Passagen wird der Strand breiter und der zweite Teil des LKW liegt vor einem, offensichtlich ist das Teil mal von oben heruntergefallen. Man gelangt an den kleinen Hafen, zu einem Restaurant und schließlich zurück zur Seilbahn. Betriebszeiten der Seilbahn im Sommer 10.00 bis 19.00, im Winter 10.00 bis 18.00 Uhr (ohne Gewähr). Die Einzelfahrt nach oben kostet (Stand Dezember 2024) 8 Euro pro Person und muss bei Ankunft oben bezahlt werden. Nun folgt man der Straße gut 800 Meter und folgt dann dem ersten Abzweiger nach rechts. Nach weiteren 650 Metern steht man wieder am Einstiegsparkplatz. Findige Canyonisten suchen eine Abkürzung durch die Plantagen.
