Von Villach über die A2 Richtung Tarvisio, bei Arnoldstein abfahren und über die 111-er nach Feistritz a.d.G. und im Ortskern rechts nach Vorderberg. Auch hier in den "Ortskern" und dann nach links zur Kirche Maria Graben. 50m Flussabwärts der Kirche befindet sich ein Parkplatz.

From Villach via the A2 in the direction of Tarvisio, exit at Arnoldstein and take the 111-er to Feistritz a.d.G. and in the village center turn right to Vorderberg. Also here in the "Ortskern" and then left to the church Maria Ditch. 50m downstream from the church is a parking lot.

An der Kirche vorbei über die Straßenbrücke und der Dorfstraße etwa 500m folgen bis nach rechts eine Sandstraße in Richtung Werbutzalm abzweigt. Dieser Forststraße folgt man etwa 120hm, bis in einer Rechtskurve neben einem Quellgebiet links eine weitere Forststraße abzweigt. Dieser Straße 300m folgen und dann nach rechts auf eine weitere, verwachsene Forststraße abzuzweigen (blauer Punkt auf Baum links und rechts der Straße). Dieser Straße etwa 1km folgen bis man das breite Kiesbett des Vorderbergbachs sehen kann. Hier rechts über den flachen Hang flussabwärts bis man über die Erosionskante ins Bachbett absteigen kann. Man erreicht den Bach unmittelbar oberhalb einer hohen Geröllsperre am Klammeingang. Will man nur die letzten 7 Abseiler der Tour begehen kann man den alten, längst aufgelassenen Klammsteig von der Kirche in die Klamm folgen. Drahtseilgesichert geht es über ein paar Kehren an einer zerstörten Brücke vorbei bis man über eine wacklige, 25m hohe Metallstrickleiter ins Bachbett absteigen kann.

Pass the church, cross the road bridge and follow the village road for about 500m until a sand road branches off to the right in the direction of Werbutzalm. Follow this forest road for about 120m until another forest road branches off to the left in a right-hand bend next to a spring area. Follow this road for 300m and then branch off to the right onto another overgrown forest road (blue dot on tree to the left and right of the road). Follow this road for about 1km until you can see the wide gravel bed of the Vorderbergbach stream. Turn right here across the flat slope downstream until you can descend over the erosion edge into the streambed. You reach the stream immediately above a high scree dam at the entrance to the gorge. If you only want to climb the last 7 rappels of the tour, you can follow the old, long-abandoned gorge path from the church into the gorge. Secured by a wire rope, the route leads over a few hairpin bends past a destroyed bridge until you can descend into the streambed via a rickety, 25m-high metal rope ladder.

16 Abseilstellen an massiven, aber alten Material. Man kann fast immer dem kräftigen Wasserstrahl ausweichen. Becken sind im Allgemeinen zugekiest. Ab dem Zwischeneinstieg wird die Tour kommerziell begangen - bessere Sicherungen und Fixseile zu den Ständen.
