Man verlässt die Rhonetalautobahn A-7 ca. 20 km nach Valence und fährt westwärts auf der N-304 über Privas nach Aubenas. Von dort aus geht die Fahrt weiter auf der N-102 in nordwestlicher Richtung nach Le Puy und anschließend durch das Ardechetal ca. 12 km flussaufwärts bis Lalevade. Hier nimmt man die D-5 nach Jaujac, biegt (nun 6 km nach Lalavade) nach der Ortschaft rechts ab auf die D-19 und erklimmt den Col de la Croix de Bauzon (1308 m). 3 km nach dem Pass nimmt man die D-24 nach links (südwärts) und biegt 100 Meter weiter in die ersten Straße nach rechts ein zum Weiler Les Chambons.Hier ist ein guter Platz zum Abstellen des Autos. Wenn man ein zweites Auto hat, kann man dieses am Schluchtausgang an der Brücke unterhalb der alten Burg abstellen. Dorthin kommt man, wenn man auf der D-24 in südlicher Richtung weiterfährt, hinweg über den Col de Meyrand (schöne Aussicht!) und bei der Ortschaft Loubaresse auf einem schmalen Sträßchen (D-301) rechts abbiegt und hinunter zur Borne fährt (insgesamt 10 km).
Leave the Rhone Valley freeway A-7 about 20 km after Valence and drive west on the N-304 via Privas to Aubenas. From there, the journey continues on the N-102 in a northwesterly direction to Le Puy and then through the Ardeche valley about 12 km upstream to Lalevade. Here you take the D-5 to Jaujac, turn right (now 6 km after Lalavade) after the village onto the D-19 and climb the Col de la Croix de Bauzon (1308 m). 3 km after the mountain pass, take the D-24 to the left (southwards) and 100 meters further on take the first road to the right to the hamlet of Les Chambons.Here is a good place to park the car. If you have a second car, you can park it at the canyon exit at the bridge below the old castle. To get there, continue south on the D-24 over the Col de Meyrand (beautiful view!) and turn right at the village of Loubaresse on a narrow road (D-301) and drive down to the Borne (10 km in total).

Garés au parking "helico". Accès en 35 min par la route et le sentier officiel. Retour : après un bief d'une cinquantaine de mètres et au niveau du panneau de sortie obligatoire rive droite, un très bon sentier rejoint en 15 min le GR, qui traverse le hameau de Chazalette et qui rejoint la route 300 mètres avant le parking. Le tout en 50 min.Attention, dans le canyon, 2 sauts délicats si on ne prend pas la corde !Toujours aussi beau...
