Die Stadtmitte von Grenoble über die Isère nach NNW verlassen und auf der D 57 den Vorort St-Martin-le-Vinoux ansteuern (auch von St Engrêve aus möglich). Nun bergauf in Richtung Quaix-en-Chartreuse. Etwa 1 km vor dieser Ortschaft macht die Straße über ein Seitental der Vence eine stärkere Rechtskurve. Unmittelbar danach in der Grabungsgrube links parken.
Leave the city center of Grenoble via the Isère to the NNW and head for the suburb of St-Martin-le-Vinoux on the D 57 (also possible from St Engrêve). Now head uphill towards Quaix-en-Chartreuse. About 1 km before this village, the road bends sharply to the right across a side valley of the Vence. Immediately afterwards, park in the excavation pit on the left.

Dieser folgend geht es - zuletzt steil - hinab zur Vence und dem Einstieg zum Infernet.

On a flat saddle, before the path climbs again, an inconspicuous track runs off to the left (south-east) into the bushes. Follow this - steeply at the end - down to Vence and the entry to Infernet.

Die Schwierigkeit hängt entscheidend vom - meist recht ordentlichen - Wasserdurchsatz ab. Die Stände sind zwar meist so eingerichtet, dass man den Strahl möglichst vermeidet, der Zugang zum Stand über dem 25-m-Abseiler ist jedoch ziemlich exponiert. Strudel und Walzen bilden dann eine weitere Gefahr. Video und Fotos zeigen einen Niedrigwasserdurchsatz! Zeitweise (!) war an der rechten Wand ein Führungsseil fixiert, mit dem man sich aus dem kräftigen Strahl heraushalten konnte. Dann aber etwa 40m Abseillänge über Zwischenstand.
Gut zu verbinden mit Alloix.
The difficulty depends crucially on the - usually quite decent - water flow. Although the stands are usually set up to avoid the jet as much as possible, access to the stand above the 25 m rappel is quite exposed. Whirlpools and rollers then pose a further danger. Video and photos show a low water flow! At times (!) a guide rope was fixed to the right wall, which could be used to stay out of the powerful jet. But then about 40m abseil length above intermediate level.
Good to connect with Alloix.
