Es gibt mehrere Einstiegsmöglichkeiten, damit mehrere Zustiege und dementsprechend mehrere Zufahrten.Es gibt einen geeigneten oberen Einstieg (mit einer Alternative) und einen unteren Einstieg.Für alle Einstiege ist der Ausstiegspunkt derselbe. So stellen wir das Auto für den Ausstieg auf einen großen Parkplatz hinter einer Schule und in der Nähe der Gendarmerie (= Polizei) ab (P I). Dahin kommen wir, wenn wir von Basse-Terre auf der N 3, ab St-Claude (Ortsmitte) auf der D 11 hinauffahren in Richtung Vulkan Soufrière. In St-Claude biegen wir vor der Gendarmerie links auf den Chemin de la Cascade ab und sehen dann linkerhand den großen Parkplatz P I (siehe Übersichtskarte auf Foto 1).Dieser Parkplatz (P I) ist auch zugleich der Parkplatz für den Zustieg 1 a, also findet hier keine Autoumsetzung statt.Für den Zustieg 2 (gleicher Einstiegspunkt - E 2 - in den Canyon wie bei 1 ) fährt man (oder geht zu Fuß, wenn man nur ein Fahrzeug zur Verfügung hat) von der Gendarmerie auf der D 11 etwa 840 m weiter bergan. Die Straße macht hier einen leichten Schwenk nach links, daran anschließend wieder einen nach rechts. In diesem schwachen Rechtsbogen biegt links hinunter ein holpriger Feldweg ab. An der Straße ist linkerhand eine größere Freifläche, wo wir (so wir denn haben) das obere Auto für den Zustieg 2 abstellen (P II). Wenn wir eine 'integrale' Begehung des Canyons realisieren wollen - Einstiegspunkt E 2 oder E 3 - fahren wir mit dem zweiten Auto noch ungefähr 1 km weiter und stellen es bei dem Picnicplatz ('Beau Soleil') links der Straße auf Höhe 760 m ü.NN ab (P III).

The road makes a slight turn to the left here, then another to the right. In this slight bend to the right, a bumpy dirt road turns off to the left. On the left of the road there is a large open space where we park (if we have one) the upper car for access 2 (P II). If we want to realize an 'integral' ascent of the canyon - entry point E 2 or E 3 - we drive with the second car about 1 km further and park it at the picnic area ('Beau Soleil') on the left of the road at 760 m above sea level (P III).

Wo der Fußweg zur Cascade Vauchelet beginnt, stoßen wir auf eine Absperrung mit dem amtlichen Hinweis, dass eine Begehung des Weges wegen Rutschgefahr untersagt sei. Wenn man trotzdem links an den Häusern vorbei weitergeht, kommt man in etwa 10 Min. unproblematisch zu dem Betonsteg unterhalb der Cascade Vauchelet (hier kann man den Wasserdurchsatz prüfen). Wir gehen den Betonsteg zum anderen Ufer, laufen unterhalb der Cascade bachabwärts (auf den Betonsteg zu), klettern aber dann den in dem von orograf. links einmündenden Bach (Ravine Roche) einige Meter aufwärts, bis sich uns links - d.h. am orograf. rechten Ufer des Roche - ein steiler Pfad anbietet, dem wir auf dem Rücken zwischen den beiden Bächen konsequent bis zum Einstieg E 1 folgen. Der Pfad ist relativ gut ausgetreten, weil dieser Canyonabschnitt auch kommerziell begangen wird.Der Zustieg 2 (lila Farbe durchgezogen) führt vom Paqrkplatz P II einen holprigen und düsteren Feldweg abwärts, hinunter in das kleine Tal der Ravine Roche. Links sehen wir einige kleinere Holzhütten (siehe Foto 2). Wir verlassen den Holperweg und nehmen Kurs auf die im Foto links gelegenen Hütten, gehen auf deutlichen Spuren rechts an diesen vorbei und kommen zu dem Bach. Hier muss nun jenseits des Baches diese Spur in den Wald hinein und in diesem aufwärts ebenfalls zum Einstieg E 1 führen. Wir hatten diese Wegbeschreibung von einem Guide aus St-Claude, haben aber am Bach das jenseitige Ufer nicht hinreichend abgesucht und so den Pfad nicht gefunden.Der Zustieg 3 (braunorange Linie) führt vom Parkplatz P III auf dem markierten Wanderweg Nr. 1 (vgl. Schautafeln vor Ort) direkt zum Einstieg E 2 zu einer integralen Begehung, die auch oberhalb E 1 nicht unlohnend ist.Das Finden des Wanderweges Nr. 1 beim Picknickplatz ist nicht ganz einfach.So sind wir denn auch irrig auf dem Wanderweg Nr. 9 gelandet. Spätestens wenn der Pfad dauerhaft an dem offenen Kanal entlang führt, muss man zu Kenntnis nehmen, dass man den richtigen Weg (Nr. 1) nicht unter den Füßen hat. Das ist jedoch kein Grund umzukehren. Der Weg am Kanal entlang bringt uns zur Wasserableitung aus dem Noire (übrigens ist man hier früher aus dem oberen Noire ausgestiegen, vgl. D. Kuster, V. Silve: 'Guadeluope Canyons Gouffres Decouverte' 1997 - S. 17 unten). Nun kann man entweder hier schon in den Noire einsteigen (zu Beginn ein höherer Abseiler - vom Baum) oder noch besser in einem Abstand von ca. 50 m links am Bach entlang durch lichten Wald ohne störendes Unterholz abwärts wandern, bis man auf den Wanderweg Nr. 1 trifft und diesem nach rechts abwärts bis zur Bachkreuzung (E 2) folgen.
The access 1 (red color) leads from the parking lot P I at the Gendarmerie on the Chemin de la Cascade in direction NNW. Where the footpath to the Cascade Vauchelet begins, we come across a barrier with the official notice that walking on the path is prohibited because of the danger of slipping. If you nevertheless continue to the left past the houses, you will reach the concrete footbridge below the Cascade Vauchelet in about 10 minutes without any problems (here you can check the water flow). We walk the concrete footbridge to the other bank, walk downstream below the Cascade (towards the concrete footbridge), but then climb the stream (Ravine Roche) that flows in from the orographic left for a few meters until a steep path offers itself to us on the left - i.e. on the orographic right bank of the Roche - which we follow consistently on the ridge between the two streams to the entry E 1. The access 2 (purple color) leads from the P II square down a bumpy and gloomy dirt road, down into the small valley of the Ravine Roche. On the left we see some small wooden huts (see photo 2). Leaving the bumpy track, we set course for the huts on the left in the photo, passing them on clear tracks to the right and coming to the stream. Here, beyond the stream, this track must now lead into the forest and in this uphill also to the entry E 1. We had this description from a guide from St-Claude, but we did not search the other side of the stream sufficiently and thus did not find the path.The access 3 (brown-orange line) leads from the parking lot P III on the marked hiking trail no. 1 (cf. signs on site) directly to the entry E 2 for an integral ascent, which is not unrewarding even above E 1.The finding of hiking trail no. 1 at the picnic area is not quite easy.So we ended up mistakenly on hiking trail no. 9. At the latest when the path leads permanently along the open canal, you have to realize that you don't have the right path (No. 1) under your feet. However, this is no reason to turn back. The path along the canal brings us to the water drainage from the Noire (by the way, one used to get out of the upper Noire here, cf. D. Kuster, V. Silve: 'Guadeluope Canyons Gouffres Decouverte' 1997 - p. 17 below). Now you can either enter the Noire already here (at the beginning a higher rappel - from the tree) or better still, hiking down at a distance of about 50 m to the left along the wall through sparse forest without disturbing undergrowth, until you meet hiking trail no. 1 and follow it to the right downhill to the creek crossing (E 2).

Von hier folgt man dann dem wegen Rutschgefahr gesperrten Weg bis zum Parkplatz PI. Alternativ bietet sich beim Ausstieg nach etwa 100 m auf besagtem Weg eine Möglichkeit, den deutlichen Trittspuren links den Hang hinauf zu folgen (gepunktete lila Linie). Man kommt so wesentlich schneller aus der Schlucht heraus und 'landet' am Rande eines Neubaugebietes (Foto 22). Man könnte in etwa diesem Bereich ein zweites Auto abstellen oder man wandert auf der D 11 hinunter zum Parkplatz P I bei der Gendarmerie.
Where the stream flows almost level under a brown earth wall after the last waterfall (see photo 21), get out on the right and head towards the concrete footbridge (photo 22). From here, follow the path, which is closed due to the risk of slipping, to the PI parking lot. Alternatively, after about 100 m from the exit, you can follow the clear footprints on the left up the slope (dotted purple line). This takes you out of the canyon much faster and 'lands' on the edge of a new development area (photo 22). You could park a second car in this area or hike down to the P I parking lot at the gendarmerie on the D 11.

amarrages OK broché ou spitté. MC en place en bon etat sauf la dernière orange RD, tonchée car passee directement dans les plaquettes,dont on peut se passer.on est sortis par la sente décrite dans le topo, peu après la passerelle, dans le glissement de terrain. on tombe après 2/3m d ascension sur des barrières en bois. la sente est bien au début puis est catastrophique. on arrive à la suivre plus ou moins mais tout le terrain est éboulé. des arbres arrachés partout. c est souvent de l escalade. un sacré coup de sabre serait nécessaire. il y a sûrement une autre solution pratiquée par les pros car celle ci est apparemment dans cet état depuis 2017..je deconseille cette sente de sortie en cas de pluie car beaucoup d endroits sont vraiment dangereux et instables.la dernière Cascade est sympa sinon on a préféré bois malaisé pour l ambiance.

----ENGLISH-----Our first canyon in Guadeloupe. Nice jungle canyon. Most of the relais are in good condition, except the last 2 rappels and the last main courante. These are loose and need to be tightened. Bring a spanner.25 mins approche, 1,5 hours canyon (2 people). Finding the exit was a a problem. We relied on the topo from https://ankanionla-madinina.com/ (2009) which said to take the ravine Roche and then a footpath RD. We tried that but after 10 mins turned back because we did not find any path. We discussed the option of just following the ravine roche upstream, but decided to double back and check the old footpath starting at the old bridge. We found that RG and followed that for some time, but we ended at a near vertical cliff. We decided to climb it because we saw clear sky about 50m above us. It was a bit sketchy but we ended up in somebody's backyard. From there it was a short walk to our car. The whole exit took us almost 2 hours. We're stille wondering where the real exit is...The GPs-coördinates from Alexx are correct. I would add one : 16.03379, -61.68480. This is where the path splits up towards the entry of the canyon. Take a left there.-----FRANCAIS-------Notre premier canyon en Guadeloupe. Beau canyon de la jungle. La plupart des relais sont en bon état, à l'exception des 2 derniers rappels et de la dernière main courante (que vous ne devriez pas prendre sauf si les eaux sont hautes). Ceux-ci sont lâches et doivent être resserrés. Apportez une clé.25 mn d'approche, 1h30 de canyon (2 personnes). Trouver la sortie était un problème. Nous avons utilisé le topo de https://ankanionla-madinina.com/ (2009) qui disait d'emprunter le ravin de la Roche puis un sentier RD. Nous avons essayé, mais après 10 minutes, nous avons fait demi-tour car nous n'avons trouvé aucun chemin. Nous avons discuté de la possibilité de simplement suivre le ravin roche en amont, mais avons décidé de faire demi-tour et de vérifier l'ancien sentier commençant au vieux pont. Nous avons trouvé ce RG et l'avons suivi pendant un certain temps, mais nous nous sommes retrouvés devant une falaise presque verticale. Nous avons décidé de l'escalader car nous avons vu un ciel dégagé à environ 50 m au-dessus de nous. C'était un peu sommaire mais nous nous sommes retrouvés dans le jardin de quelqu'un. De là, nous étions à quelques pas de notre voiture. La sortie entière nous a pris près de 2 heures. On se demande encore où est la vraie sortie...Les coordonnées d'Alexx sont correctes sont correcte. J'en ajouterais un : 16.03379, -61.68480. C'est ici que le chemin se divise vers l'entrée du canyon. Là, tournez à gauche.
