Accesso:
From Cimolais, head north into the Torrente Cimoliana valley. After about 2 km, park on the left before the bridge over the Torrente Compol. After that, the road becomes a toll road.
Avvicinamento (3 h):
Before the bridge, turn left into the Torrente Compol valley. Follow hiking trail 374 to Casera Lodina. The trail starts on a forest road, then soon turns onto a relatively steep hiking path that leads high above the canyon down to the valley floor of the Torrente Compol. At a trail junction, take the left path. Pass through massive cleared windfall areas and deciduous forest to the meadows below Casera Lodina. The hunters path to the canyon branches off just above a fenced-in spring. Casera Lodina is an unstaffed hut with a wood-burning stove and 6 sleeping spots with mattresses; it offers a rustic option to shorten the access slightly. A short stretch through partially cleared mountain pines leads to a small saddle; then the path traverses to a dry streambed and, crossing slightly uphill through abandoned pastureland, returns to the mountain forest. The path is marked by a relatively large number of cairns and is usually easy to follow. Below the mountain pine summit “La Brustolada,” you emerge from the mountain forest into open terrain. Just before crossing a dry streambed—and immediately after crossing a stream with flowing water—follow the trail traces horizontally to the right; the main trail leads diagonally left uphill. Head horizontally through the forest on the other side, then ascend across the next meadow before re-entering the mountain pine forest. Follow a barely defined path (currently about 30 meters of mountain pine thicket—a saw would be helpful here) to a streambed, then descend briefly in the open terrain before continuing northward to the main stream. Descend about 50 meters in elevation along the streambed to the base of the waterfalls.
