Variante 1: Nach Lofer fahren und dort parken Variante 2: Zuerst nach Lofer fahren, dann im Ort die Bergstrasse auf die Loferer Alm nehmen und dort vor dem Begin der Mautstrasse bei Gasthof Loderbichl parken. Es gibt dort nur wenige Parkplätze, man hatte uns gebeten uns vor dem Zaun im rechten Winkel zum Zaun hinzustellen und die ausgeschilderten Parkplätze oben nicht zu verwenden.

Option 1: Drive to Lofer and park there Option 2: First drive to Lofer, then take the mountain road in the village to the Loferer Alm and park there before the start of the toll road at Gasthof Loderbichl. There are only a few parking spaces there, we were asked to park in front of the fence at a right angle to the fence and not to use the signposted parking spaces above.

Empfehlung: In Lofer an der Seilbahn parken und mit der Almbahn I und Almbahn II hinauf zur Lofer Alm. Von dort dem Wasserfallweg folgen, bis der Weg auf den Bach trifft. Alternativ: Vom Gasthof Loderbichl dem "Wasserfallweg" Richtung Bimalm folgen. Der Weg folgt anfangs der Mautstrasse und geht später rechts Richtung Würmbach. Bei einer Kreuzung von zwei Feldwegen muss man oben auf dem Wasserfallweg bleiben und nicht runter Richtung Klausmaisalm gehen. Der Weg kommt an einem Wasserfall vorbei, dann noch 2-3 Minuten und bei zwei Gumpen findet sich der Einstieg. Man kann ggf. auch noch bis zur Brücke weitergehen aber dieser Teil ist nicht lohnend.

Recommendation: Park at the cable car in Lofer and take the Almbahn I and Almbahn II up to the Lofer Alm. From there, follow the waterfall path until the path meets the stream. Alternatively: From Gasthof Loderbichl, follow the "Wasserfallweg" in the direction of Bimalm. The trail initially follows the toll road and later turns right towards Würmbach. At a junction of two field paths, you have to stay on the waterfall path at the top and not go down towards Klausmaisalm. The path passes a waterfall, then another 2-3 minutes and you will find the entry point at two pools. You can also continue to the bridge, but this part is not worthwhile.

Abkühlen im Pool, dann erster Abseiler Einzelhaken links mit 4m. Kurze Gehstrecke, dann Haken versteckt in der Mitte vor dem Loch, danach Kettenstand links und über den Touristenwasserfall. Danach kommt eine kurze Abkletterpassage und der einzige tiefe Pool der Tour (Sprung 2-3m möglich). Danach folgt die Abseilautobahn mit 20/25er Abseilern teilweise mit Einzelhaken, teilweise von Baumschlingen (Details siehe Topo). Der vorletzte Abseiler ist ein 45m, danach kommen nochmals 20m. Danach geht man nch etwa 150m den Bach entlang bis man rechts auf die Wiese hochklettert. Angeblich gibt es auch einen unteren Teil welcher aber nicht so schön sein soll...

Cool down in the pool, then first rappel single bolt left with 4m. Short walking passages, then anchors hidden in the middle in front of the hole, then chain anchors on the left and over the tourist waterfall. Then comes a short downclimb and the only deep pool of the tour (jump 2-3m possible). This is followed by the rappel highway with 20/25 rappels, some with single hooks, some from tree slings (see topographic view for details). The penultimate rappel is a 45m, followed by another 20m. Then you walk along the stream for about 150m until you climb up to the meadows on the right. Supposedly there is also a lower part which is not so beautiful...

Etwa 150m nach dem letzten Abseiler sieht man rechts oben die Wiese zu der man hochklettert, dann geht man hoch Richtung Alm und sieht schon bald ein Haus hinter dem der Schotterweg zurück zum Wanderweg und von dort wieder zum Auto führt. Wilde Querung ohne Schotterweg haben wir versucht aber ist wegen der Gräben dazwischen nicht empfehlenswert.

About 150m after the last rappel, you can see the meadow on the top right to which you climb up, then you go up towards the alpine pasture and soon see a house behind which the gravel path leads back to the hiking trail and from there back to the car. We tried the wild crossing without the gravel path but it is not recommended because of the ditches in between.

Bach führt normalerweise wenig Wasser und Abseilstellen sind so angebracht, dass man auch bei viel Wasser gehen kann. Fluchtmöglichkeit jederzeit nach rechts oder links in den Wald möglich.

The stream normally carries little water and abseiling points are positioned so that you can walk even when there is a lot of water. You can escape into the forest to the right or left at any time.
