Vom Campingplatz Solarium in Domaso (vor Ort Garvedona) die Straße nach Garvedona nehmen --> gleich am Anfang der Ortseinfahrt re. ri. Livo hochfahren (steile Asphaltstraße) --> in der Ortschaft Livo li. Richtung Dangri --> ab den Friedhof noch 2,8km auf schlechter Schotterstraße bis ans Ende der Straße fahren (begrenzter Parkplatz vor der Brücke) (650Hm). From the campsite Solarium in Domaso (in front of Garvedona) take the road to Garvedona --> at the beginning of the village turn right to Livo (steep asphalt road) --> in the village Livo turn left to Dangri --> from the cemetery drive 2.8km on a bad gravel road to the exit of the road (limited parking before the bridge) (650Hm). There is a new ticket machine on the left at the beginning of the village Livo. Price 3€, also card payment possible at the machine; you have to indicate your license plate number.

Aufgrund der Gesamt Dauer empfiehlt es sich im Sommer vor 8 Uhr vom Parkplatz Dangri aufzubrechen. Vom Parkplatz Dangri geht man über die 2 Steinbrücken --> danach geht man den Weg re. der sich kurz darauf 2 mal teilt --> an der zweiten Gabelung li bis in die fast verlassene Ortschaft Provego (940Hm) hochgehen --> nach der Ortschaft geht man über eine Brücke und weiter hoch bis zu den nächsten Häusern von Pianezzola --> hier den Weg oberhalb der Häuser nach re folgen --> hat man die Häuser hinter sich gelassen kommt ein großer zugewachsener Hang der zumindest eine schöne Aussicht auf den Comosee bietet -->auf ca. 1030Hm lichtet sich der Weg --> man folgt den Steinplattenstufen leicht abwärts --> der Weg führt hier parallel zur Schlucht (Einstiegs-/Ausstiegsmöglichkeit) mit kleinen Steigungen bis zu den verfallenen Berghäusern --> will man sich den obersten Teil (ca. 100Hm) sparen, hat man bei der großen Buche am re Wegrand (ca. 1200Hm), eine gute Möglichkeit über die Wiese in die Schlucht abzusteigen --> der eigentliche Einstieg liegt jedoch auf 1300Hm nach den Häusern.

Given the total duration, it’s recommended to set out from the Dangri parking lot before 8 a.m. in the summer. From the Dangri parking lot, cross the two stone bridges --> then take the path to the right. which splits twice shortly afterward --> at the second fork, turn left and head up to the nearly deserted village of Provego (940 Hm) --> after the village, cross a bridge and continue uphill to the next houses in Pianezzola --> here, follow the trail to the right above the houses --> once you’ve left the houses behind, you’ll come to a large, overgrown slope that at least offers a beautiful view of Lake Como --> at about 1,030 Hm, the trail opens up --> Follow the stone steps slightly downhill --> The trail runs parallel to the canyon here (entry/exit point) with gentle inclines up to the dilapidated mountain huts --> If you want to save yourself the top section (approx. 100 Hm), the large beech tree on the right side of the trail (approx. 1200 Hm) offers a good spot to descend across the meadow into the canyon --> however, the actual entry is at 1300 Hm, past the houses.

Wegen der Abgeschnittenheit und den technisch anspruchsvollen Stellen sowie dem kalten Wasser sollten nur erfahren Canyonauten in diese Schlucht einsteigen. Die Schlucht hat viele kurze anspruchsvolle Abseilstellen wobei die Gumpen meist nicht einsehbar sind. Sprünge sind mit Vorsicht zu genießen. Ohne lange Gehstrecken hat man einen ständigen Wechsel von Engstellen, Klemmblöcke und Gumpen die auch sehr turbulent sein können. In der Mitte der Schlucht (ca. 900Hm) findet man einen steilen Notausstieg (Einstieg) an einer offenen Stelle mit einer großen Felsplatte auf der rechten Seite. Sofern die Wassermenge im oberen Teil grenzwertig war, sollte hier ausgestiegen werden, da der Wasserstand im unteren Teil durch mehrere Zuflüsse noch ansteigt. Der 2. Teil bietet eine einzigartige Schluchtenlandschaft mit kontinuierlich aufeinander folgenden Abbrüchen. Bis zum letzten Abseiler ist volle Konzentration gefragt, bevor man an der Wasserableitung aussteigt. Für einige Canyonisten ist der permanente Geräuschpegel, den man nach der Tour erleichtert hinter sich lässt, eine zusätzliche mentale Belastung. In großen und ganzen eine perfekte Schlucht.

Due to its remote location, technically challenging sections, and cold water, only experienced canyoneers should attempt this canyon. The canyon features many short, challenging rappelling sections, and the pools are usually not visible. Jumps should be approached with caution. With no long walking passages, the route consists of a constant succession of narrow passages, clamping blocks, and pools that can also be very turbulent. In the middle of the canyon (approx. 900 Hm), there is a steep emergency exit (entry) at an open spot with a large rock slab on the right-hand side. If the water volume in the upper section was borderline, you should exit here, as the water level in the lower section rises even further due to several tributaries. The second section offers a unique canyon landscape with a continuous succession of cliffs. Full concentration is required all the way to the last rappel before exiting at the water diversion. For some canyoners, the constant noise level—which you’re relieved to leave behind after the tour—is an additional mental strain. All in all, a perfect canyon.

Von der Wasserableitung rechts über die Metallstufen absteigen und den Weg folgen. Nach ca. 20min kommt eine weitere Wasserableitung, diese passieren bis man nach weiteren 15-20min wieder den Ausgangspunkt (Dangri) erreicht.

Descend from the drainage channel on the right via the metal steps and follow the trail. After about 20 minutes, you’ll come to another drainage channel; pass it until, after another 15–20 minutes, you reach the starting point (Dangri) again.
