Von Barbastro in Richtung Alquézar. Nach etwa 20 km auf der neu ausgebauten A-1232 bei der Verzweigung vor der Brücke des Rio Vero (rechts alte Bogenbrücke - jenseits der Brücke Camping Rio Vero) rechts aufwärts und auf der A-2205 über Colungo weiter in Richtung Arcusa, Ainsa. Die Straße windet sich nun kurvenreich nordwärts. Man überquert den Bco Palomeras Fornocal (8,1 km ab Rio Vero - Brücke) und erreicht einige hundert Meter weiter die Puente de las Gargantas über den Rio Fornocal (8,7 km ab Rio Vero-Brücke). Weiter geht es in vielen Kurven. 4,9 km nach der Puente de las Gargantas über den Rio Fornocal - wir sind inzwischen auf dem Rücken zwischen dem Fornocal-Bassin und dem des Rio Vero - geht links eine Piste schräg ab. Hier parken wir unser Auto auf der Freifläche.

Entweder hier oder schon einige Meter vorher gehen wir von der Piste rechts ab und halten uns links oben am Felsrand über dem Kessel. An den ersten beiden erkennbaren (!) Canyon-Ästen ( Lumos I u. II) gehen wir noch oben vorbei, ebenso am nächsten (Lumos III- linker Zufluss). Es folgt eine längere Laustrecke an der Kante (Steinmännchen). Die Spur führt um eine Felsnase und schwenkt in südliche Richtung. In den Graben, der jetzt unter uns liegt, steigen wir kurz vor der nächsten Felsnase hinunter. Nach der Felsnase wäre der Abstieg in den linken Seitenbarranco des Alpan, vielleicht auch schon in den nächsten Canyon, den Trucho (Orientierung schwierig!).
We first follow the track parallel to the tarred road to the south. After 260 m it bends to the southwest. Either here or a few meters before, we leave the road to the right and keep to the left at the top of the cliff above the basin. We pass the first two recognizable (!) canyon branches (Lumos I and II) and the next one (Lumos III - left tributary). A longer stretch follows at the edge (cairns). The tracks goes around a rocky outcrop and swings to the south. We descend into the ditch, which is now below us, just before the next rock outcrop. After the rock outcrop, the descent would be into the left side barranco of the Alpan, perhaps already into the next canyon, the Trucho (orientation difficult!).
