Von Domodossola auf der 549 ins Valle Anzasca Tal. Nach ca. 35min kommt in Calasca Castiglione auf der re Seite eine kleine Pizzeria „C’era una volta“ (empfehlenswert; einfach und gut). Ab hier sind es genau 1,3Km bis zum Ausstiegsparkplatz der Bianca. Das Auto nicht bei der Bushaltestelle parken sondern nach der Brücke auf dem Schotterparkplatz rechts beim E-Werk Haus. Kleiner Tipp: um nicht die schweren Rucksäcke hochtragen zu müssen, können diese am Einstieg vorher deponiert werden. Dafür muss man ca. 50m weiter vor der Bushaltestelle die Abzweigung rechts nach Calasca nehmen. Nach mehreren Serpentinen kommt links eine Abzweigung nach Barzona. Hier folgt man der Straße weiter bis zur Brücke (Einstieg auf 650m). Nach dem deponieren das Auto unten parken und hochgehen.

From Domodossola on the 549 into the Valle Anzasca valley. After approx. 35min you will come to a small pizzeria "C'era una volta" in Calasca Castiglione on the right (recommended; simple and good). From here it is exactly 1.3km to the parking exit of the Bianca. Do not park your car at the bus stop, but after the bridge on the gravel parking place on the right at the E-Werk house. A little tip: to avoid having to carry heavy rucksacks up, you can deposit them at the entry beforehand. To do this, take the turn-off to the right to Calasca approx. 50 m before the bus stop. Vom Parkplatz vor dem Elektrizitätshaus geht man zurück zur Bushaltestelle. Direkt neben der Bushaltestelle folgt man der breiten Zufahrtsstraße die am verlassenen Haus vorbei führt. Die Straße wird schnell zu einem (unmarkierten) Weg, den man weiter über eine kleine Brücke bis zur Bergstraße folgt. Auf der Straße geht man nur kurz (ca. 50m) bis man den Weg links wieder findet. From the parking lot in front of the electricity house, walk back to the bus stop. Directly next to the bus stop, follow the wide access road that leads past the abandoned house. The road quickly becomes an (unmarked) path, which you follow over a small bridge to the mountain road. Follow the road only briefly (approx. 50 m) until you find the path on the left again. This leads through the forest (next to the road) up to the small village of Calasca. When you reach the church, you can already see the B00 Calasca Fermata Bus trail marker next to the stone fountain. At the junction with the other mountain road, follow the hiking trail to the left, which soon leads over the Rio Val Bianca and into the village of Barzona. Die Rio Val Bianca ist ein sehr schöner, kurzer, offener Abseilcanyon mit meist wenig Wasser. Unterteilt man die Schlucht in 2 Hälften, hat man Anfangs eine Geh- und Abkletterpassage, gefolgt von möglichen Rutschen und kurzen Abseilstellen im Wasserlauf. Bei einer engen Rinne kann der Wasserdruck im Zwischenbecken schon mal unangenehm werden. An der Stelle wo man die beste Aussicht ins Anzascatal hat, fängt der zweite vertikalere Teil der Schlucht an. Hier führt eine 100m Kaskade ins Tal (30m, 20m und 45m). Bei der 30m Abseilstelle bekommt man eine kräftige Dusche bevor man den schönen tiefen Gumpen, erreicht (nach Kontrolle, letzter Teil rutschbar). Danach folgt man ein ausgesetzter, wo man sich ca. 20m rechts zum letzten Zwischenstand abseilt. Die letzte Abseilstelle mit 45m ist dann die höchste. Achtung: beim Abziehen der letzten 45m Abseilstelle kann das Seil in den Felsblöcken unten leicht verklemmen.

The Rio Val Bianca is a very beautiful, short, open rappel canyon with mostly little water. If you divide the canyon into 2 halves, you have a walk and downclimb at the beginning, followed by possible slides and short abseils in the watercourse. In a narrow chute, the water pressure in the intermediate basin can be uncomfortable. The second, more vertical part of the canyon begins at the point where you have the best view of the Anzasca Valley. Here a 100m cascade leads into the valley (30m, 20m and 45m). At the 30m abseil point, you get a powerful shower before reaching the beautiful, deep pool (after a check, the last part is slippery). This is followed by an exposed one, where you rappel about 20m to the right to the last intermediate rappel. The last 45m abseil is the highest. Caution: when pulling off the last 45m abseil, the ropes can easily get jammed in the boulders below.
