Von Seixal das nach Süden ausgerichtete Tal bis ganz zurück fahren. Bei der Fischfarm befindet sich ein kostenloser Parkplatz. Hier findet man auch schon eine große Info-Tafel für die dortigen Canyoning-Touren.
Drive all the way back from Seixal along the south-facing valley. There is a free parking lot at the fish farm. Here you will also find a large information board for the canyoning tours there.

Vom Parkplatz nehmen wir den Weg weiter Richtung Süden. Nach der Flussquerung geht es auf einem schmalen Weg steil den Wald hinauf bis man zur Levada do Seixal kommt. Man biegt nach rechts ab und folgt dieser bis zum Ribeira do Hortelã (kurz vor einem Tunnel hinter dem großen Wasserfall). Hier ist der Einstieg (über der Levada befindet sich der Haken für das Seilgeländer, direkt unter der Kante der Haken für den langen Abseiler).
From the parking lot, take the path further south. After crossing the river, follow a narrow path steeply uphill through the forest until you reach the Levada do Seixal. Turn right and follow it to the Ribeira do Hortelã (just before a tunnel behind the large waterfall). This is the entry point (above the levada is the anchor for the rope traverse, directly below the edge is the anchor for the long rappel).
