Von der N-196 (Ajaccio / Sartene / Bonifacio) bei Propriano auf die D-257 abbiegen, nach ca. 3,5 km wieder rechts ab auf die D-557. Über Burco kommen wir in den Weiler Martini (weitere ca. 5 km). Der Ausstieg dorthin ist inzwischen verboten. So geht es weiter bergauf (erneut 3 km), bis bei einer Wegeinfahrt nach rechts ein schattiger Abstellplatz auftaucht.

From the N-196 (Ajaccio / Sartene / Bonifacio) turn off onto the D-257 at Propriano, after approx. 3.5 km turn right again onto the D-557. Via Burco we come to the hamlet of Martini (another approx. 5 km). The exit there is now prohibited. The route continues uphill (another 3 km) until a shady parking area appears on the right at a road entrance.

Von der Straße rechts(O) den Weg gehen, nach 30 m links, zuerst nordostwärts, später ostwärts hinab zum Bach.

From the road go right(O) down the path, after 30 m turn left, first northeastward, later eastward down to the stream.

Etwas düstere Schlucht mit vielen Rutsch- und Sprungmöglichkeiten. Da die Gumpen dunkel sind, ist eine vorherige Verifizierung angebracht. Der Canyon kann auch in Kurzfassung begangen werden (so auch die kommerzielle Nutzung).

Somewhat gloomy canyon with many possible slides and jumps. Since the pools are dark, prior verification is appropriate. The canyon can also be walked in short (so is the commercial use).

Bei der Kurzvariante mit 6 Abseilern erfolgt der Ausstieg nach dem Gumpen mit der stählernen Tyrolienne rechts hinauf. Wir erreichen nach etwa 25 Min. die Straße in der Kurve mit dem Mäuerchen. Bei der Lang-Variante gibt es keinen deutlichen Ausstiegspunkt und auch der Rückweg ist ziemlich quer Beet. Auch ich bin bei meiner ersten Begehung zu früh rechts hinauf und stand dann oben an einem Sattel, wo es jenseits 100m senkrecht hinunter ging. Also: Wenn sich etwa 30 Min. nach Passieren einer Grotte in der Felswand die Schlucht weitet, sieht man evtl. am orografisch rechten Ufer einen großen Steinmann. Hier keinesfalls rechts das steile Kar hinauf, sondern weiter den Bach entlang, bis man in fast ebenem Gelände in westlicher Richtung leicht ansteigend den Höhenrücken und hier eine schwache Pfadspur erreicht. Dieser folgt man auf dem Rücken nach rechts in nördlicher Richtung, bis man problemlos auf Sicht in westlicher Richtung zum Weiler Martini queren kann. Da die dortigen Bewohner dann auch noch gerne Ärger machen, wenn man in der Nähe ihrer Häuser zur Straße hinauf klettert, ist es besser, im Baraci weiter abwärts zu laufen und dort (nach rechts) auszusteigen, wo der Wanderweg "Mare e Mare Sud" den Bach kreuzt. Zusätzlicher Zeitbedarf - geschätzt - 45 Min. Das "untere Auto ist somit im Weiler San Quircu abzustellen, wo der Wanderweg auf die Straße trfft.

For the short variant with 6 rappels, the exit is after the pool with the steel Tyrolienne up to the right. After about 25 minutes we reach the road in the bends with the little wall. Having said that, we arrived on a crête, after grimacing in the maquis for 40 minutes, to discover the car separated from us by a new descent in full speed, and a similar return.Be aware that the gorge widens considerably before you start the descent, and be careful with the cairns you encounter (we didn't go back to try to avoid them). At the right end, the gorge is much wider and the remontée is free of any "barre rocheuse". On my first ascent, I also went up to the right too early and then stood at the top of a saddle where there was a vertical drop of more than 100m. So: When the canyon widens about 30 minutes after passing a grotto in the rock face, you may see a large cairn on the orographic right bank. Do not turn right here up the steep cirque, but continue along the stream until you reach the ridge and a faint trail on almost flat terrain, climbing slightly to the west. Follow this on the ridge to the right in a northerly direction until you can easily cross in a westerly direction to the hamlet of Martini. As the residents there also like to make trouble if you climb up to the road near their houses, it is better to walk further downhill in Baraci and get off (to the right) where the "Mare e Mare Sud" hiking trail crosses the stream. Additional time required - estimated - 45 min. The "lower car" should be parked in the hamlet of San Quircu, where the hiking trail meets the road.
