Die A-9 'la Languedocienne / la Catalane' (Montpellier-Barcelona) bei der Ausfahrt 42 auf der Höhe von Perpignan (Perpignan Süd) verlassen und einige km weiter nördlich auf die N-116 in Richtung Prades. An der Stadt vorbei (bis dahin 52 km ab A-9) und nach weiteren 16 km durch Olette. 4 km nach Olette überquert man die Têt auf die orographisch rechte Seite. Hier liegt linkerhand die Thermalstation Thues-les-Bains, der Ausgangspunkt für die Tour.Das Abstellen des Fahrzeugs wird hier zum Problem: Entweder auf dem Privatgelände der Thermalstation - nur mit vorher einzuholendem Einverständnis der Betreiber - oder einige hundert Meter talaufwärts in einer Parkbucht am Rande der D-116 (beim Zurückgehen zur Thermalstation kann man von der D-116 den Schlusswasserfall einsehen).\nIm Nahbereich von Thues-les-Bains ist das Parken an der D-116 strikt verboten! Als empfehlenswerte Alternative bietet sich die Anreise mit dem 'train jaune' (Gelber Zug) an. Er befährt das gesamte Tal der Têt und hält auch direkt in Thues-les-Bains. Im Sommer ist das Fahren mit den offenen Wägen schon ein Erlebnis für sich.

Leave the A-9 'la Languedocienne / la Catalane' (Montpellier-Barcelona) at exit 42 near Perpignan (Perpignan South) and a few km further north take the N-116 towards Prades. Drive past the town (52 km from the A-9) and after another 16 km through Olette. 4 km after Olette, cross the Têt to the orographic right. The thermal station of Thues-les-Bains, the starting point for the tour, is on the left and parking your vehicle here becomes a problem: either on the private grounds of the thermal station - only with the prior consent of the operators - or a few hundred meters up the valley in a parking bay on the edge of the D-116 (when walking back to the thermal station you can see the final waterfall from the D-116).\nParking on the D-116 is strictly prohibited in the vicinity of Thues-les-Bains! A recommended alternative is to take the 'train jaune' (yellow train). It runs through the entire Têt valley and also stops directly in Thues-les-Bains. In summer, riding in the open carriages is an experience in itself.

Von der Brücke geht es über das Gelände der Thermalstation leicht ansteigend hinauf zur Bahnstation. Hier über die Gleise. Der Weg zieht unmittelbar nach den Gleisen rechts, leicht und gleichmäßig ansteigend, den Hang über den Gleisen hinauf. Man biegt in das Tal des Fajet ein und erreicht bald den Bach unterhalb einer eingezäunten Wasserfassung.

From the bridge, the trail climbs slightly over the grounds of the thermal station up to the railroad station. Cross the tracks here. Immediately after the tracks, the path turns right and climbs gently and evenly up the slope above the tracks. You turn into the Fajet valley and soon reach the stream below a fenced-in water catchment.

Der Fajet wird durch zahlreiche dampfende Thermalquellen gespeist und das Wasser hat in dem Topf unter der 2. Abseilstelle eine Temperatur von 55° C. (speziell für 'Warmduscher'!). Man kann hier nur deshalb baden, weil über ein Plastikrohr kaltes Wasser zugeführt wird.

The Fajet is fed by numerous steaming thermal springs and the water has a temperature of 55° C in the pot under the 2nd abseil point. (especially for 'hot showers'!). You can only bathe here because cold water is supplied via a plastic pipe.

Nach Unterqueren der Straße rechts und sobald möglich rechts hinauf zur D-916 (Treppenteil an Mauer lehnen!).

After crossing under the road, turn right and as soon as possible right up to D-916 (lean part of the stairs against the wall!).
