Von Genf über Samoëns nach Sixt-fer-a-Cheval, von dort weiter bis zum gleichnamigen Cirque. Parkplatz am Ende der Strasse (2026: 7 Euro).

From Geneva via Samoëns to Sixt-fer-a-Cheval, and from there on to the cirque of the same name. Parking lot at the exit (2026: 7 euros).

Folgen Sie dem Fluss Giffre bis zur Buvette du Prazon (2. Brücke). Nehmen Sie den linken Weg in Richtung Refuge de la Vogealle. Er überwindet eine steile Passage. Bei den Chalets de Borets biegen Sie rechts in Richtung Bout du Monde ab. Bei der Fußgängerbrücke steigen Sie den Bach hinunter, um den 1. Wasserfall zu erreichen. Zugang über das Ende der Welt möglich, man geht am Fuße des Wasserfalls und anderen ebenso schönen Wasserfällen vorbei; 20/30 Min. mehr, aber bequemer und kann den Wasserstand überprüfen.

Follow the Giffre River to the Buvette du Prazon (2nd bridge). Take the left path toward the Refuge de la Vogealle. It climbs a steep section. At the Chalets de Borets, turn right toward Bout du Monde. At the pedestrian bridge, follow the path along the stream to reach the first waterfall. Access is also possible via the “Exit”; you’ll walk past the base of this waterfall and other equally beautiful waterfalls; it takes 20–30 minutes longer, but it’s more comfortable and allows you to check the water level.

Kontinuierliche Aneinanderreihung von großen Vertikalen in einer schönen Aushöhlung und mit einem herrlichen Panorama. Ab der zweiten Abseilstelle mit 2 x 65 m reihen sich die Abseilstellen perfekt aneinander, ohne das Seil wegzulegen. Bei einer sehr großen Strömung ist der Start des MC des letzten Abseilens im Aktiven nicht sichtbar. Man müsste diese MC im RG in der Gegenströmung ausrüsten, um den Aktiven zum RD-Start zu überqueren und für eine Führung oder ein Auskuppeln von unten zu nutzen. Der erste, der dies tut, aufgepasst! Verpflichtung: Der einzige mögliche Ausweg befindet sich am Ende der ersten Abseilstelle. Danach ist kein Ausstieg mehr möglich. Achtung: Im Frühjahr, wenn der hoch gelegene Firn schmilzt und vom Start aus nicht zu sehen ist, kann der Durchfluss am frühen Nachmittag erheblich ansteigen. Risiko, dass das Seil beim ersten Abseilen eingeklemmt wird (der Letzte sollte besser das Relais benutzen). Derzeit MC-Start im Becken auf Höhe des Relais, das vorzugsweise zu benutzen ist, viele instabile Steine auf dem oberen MC.

A continuous sequence of large vertical sections in a beautiful hollow with a magnificent panorama. Starting at the second rappel point (2 x 65 m), the rappel points line up perfectly one after another without having to lay the ropes down. When the current is very strong, the start of the anchor for the final rappel is not visible from the active side.
