Von Belluno auf der SS 203 Richtung Agordo. Nach Durchfahren der Ortschaft Mas (8 km ab Belluno) weiter in nördlicher Richtung am orograf. linken Ufer des Torrente Cordevole aufwärts. Etwa 5,5 km nach Mas kommt man zu den Häusern des Weilers Casa Candaten, wo westlich der Straße auch ein Wohnmobilstellplatz sowie ein Picnicplatz eingerichtet sind. Hier parken.

From Belluno on the SS 203 towards Agordo. After passing through the village of Mas (8 km from Belluno), continue north along the orographic left bank of the Torrente Cordevole. About 5.5 km after Mas you come to the houses of the hamlet of Casa Candaten, where there is also a camper van site and a picnic area to the west of the road. Park here.

Den Torrente Cordevole durchqueren und auf den gegenüberliegenden Taleinschnitt des Val Fogarè zuhalten. Hier trifft man auf einen Fußweg, dem man in südlicher Richtung flussabwärts folgt. Nach einigen hundert Metern biegen wir rechts hinauf ab auf einen Pfad, der uns in etwa einer Stunde zum mittleren Einstieg an der Wasserableitung bringt (die Kartenskizze bei P. v. Duin auf S. 277 ist diesbezüglich unzutreffend!). \n \nWenn wir den oberen Einstieg nehmen wollen, folgen wir dem Weg entlang dem Torrente Cordevole weiter flussabwärts, bis rechts ein weiterer, blau markierter Pfad den Hang hinaufzieht. Viele balue und einige wenige rote Punkte führen zunächst zum Col de la Caseta (822 m), dann weiter aufwärts zum Col dei Pors (1110 m), einer flachen Eisattelung. Hier verliert sich der Steig im hohen Gras. Etwa 150m gerade über den Sattel queren bis man bei einem mehrstämmigen Baum wieder auf die Markierung trifft. Zunächst leicht linkshalten durch Latschen und Föhren bergauf um dann bald auf der rechten Seite des Bergrückens ein Hinweisschild 'Monte Alta' zu finden. Hier rechtshaltend den leicht abwärtsführenden Steig bis zu einem kleinen Holzschild 'Canyon' folgen. Der Pfeilrichtung folgend gehts etwa 100hm steil und weglos bergab (leicht links halten) bis man einen undeutlichen querführenden Steig erreicht - hier wieder viele blaue Markierungspunkte und Steinmänner. Den Steig und den Markierungspunkten querend bzw. fallend über mehrere Gräben bis zum Einstieg in einem eindrucksvollen Fels-Amphitheater folgen. Der Steig ist in der OSM eingetragen. Es gibt auch einen Zustieg über die andere (nördliche) Seite des Val Fogarè (vgl. P. v. Duin).

Cross the Torrente Cordevole and head towards the opposite cut of the Val Fogarè. Here you meet a footpath that you follow downstream in a southerly direction. After a few hundred meters, turn right up a path that will take you in about an hour to the middle entry at the water diversion (the map sketch by P. v. Duin on p. 277 is inaccurate in this regard!). \n \nIf we want to take the upper entry, we follow the path along Torrente Cordevole further downstream until another blue-marked path goes up the slope on the right. Many balue and a few red points lead first to Col de la Caseta (822 m), then further up to Col dei Pors (1110 m), a flat ice saddle. Here the path gets lost in the high grass. Cross the saddle straight for about 150m until you meet the markings again at a multi-trunked tree. At first keep slightly to the left uphill through mountain pines and pines to soon find a sign 'Monte Alta' on the right side of the ridge. Here, keep to the right and follow the slightly descending path until you reach a small wooden sign 'Canyon'. Follow the direction of the arrow and descend steeply and pathlessly for about 100 meters (keep slightly to the left) until you reach an indistinct cross-country path - here again many blue markers and cairns. Follow the path and the markers across or falling over several ditches to the entry in an impressive rock amphitheater. The path is registered in the OSM. There is also an access via the other (northern) side of Val Fogarè (cf. P. v. Duin).

Eine Aufeinanderfolge von fast 30 Abseilern (Sup & Inf), keine größeren Laufstrecken, einige Sprungmöglichkeiten, eine Grotte. Der mittlere Zustieg, zugleich Ausstiegsmöglichkeit ist bei einer Wasserableitung in 620m Höhe. Val Fogarè liegt im Parco Nazionale Dolomiti in dem Canyoning verboten ist. Die Führung des A.I.C. verhandelt diesbezüglich schon geraume Zeit mit der Nationalparkverwaltung.

A succession of almost 30 rappels (superiore & inferiore), no long runs, some possible jumps, a grotto. The middle access and exit point is at a water drainage at an altitude of 620m. Val Fogarè is located in the Parco Nazionale Dolomiti where canyoning is prohibited. The A.I.C. management has been negotiating with the national park administration for some time in this regard.
