A23 bis Abfahrt Pontebba. Das Kanaltal hinab bis Chiusaforte. Noch vor der Ortschaft links ins Raccolanatal abzweigen. Man folgt der Strasse durch einen Tunnel und weiter bis man links eine Trafostation sieht. Danach über die Brücke und etwa 50m danach zu einer kleinen Parkmöglichkeit am Rio Rivis (daneben steht ein kleines Betongebäude unbekannten Zwecks). Wenn man die Raccolana ein zweites mal überquert ist man zu weit gefahren.
A23 until Pontebba exit. Go down the Canal Valley to Chiusaforte. Before reaching the village, turn left into the Raccolana Valley. Follow the road through a tunnel and continue until you see a transformer station on the left. Then cross the bridge and about 50m after that you will find a small parking area on the Rio Rivis (next to it there is a small concrete building of unknown purpose). If you cross the Raccolana a second time you have gone too far.

Beim Parkplatz geht ein dünnes aber deutliches Steigerl weg das zwischen Rio Rivis und Rio Costa Stretta steil bergauf führt. Knapp vor dem Einstieg in den Rio Rivis rechts querend Richtung Costastretta. Knapp vor dem erreichen des Bachbetts links aufwärts und unter den Wänden queren bis man ins Bachbett absteigen kann. Alternativ kann man auch kurz einen Serpentinensteig abwärts folgen und die Schlucht unter einem ca. 30m Wasserfall über ein grasiges Band erreichen.
At the parking lot there is a thin but clear climb that leads steeply uphill between Rio Rivis and Rio Costa Stretta. Just before the entry into the Rio Rivis cross right towards Costastretta. Just before reaching the streambed, turn left uphill and cross under the walls until you can descend into the streambed. Alternatively, you can briefly follow a serpentine trail downhill and reach the canyon under a waterfall of about 30m over a grassy band.

Nelle prime tre calate sarebbe da doppiare i singoli e sostituire le piccole maglie rapide. Dopo qualche calata minore compaiono le nuove catene austriache che permangono fino all'uscita. Forra continua ben più stimolante (e lunga) del Rivis. Per l'avvicinamento, il traverso verso il Costa Stretta, appena prima di arrivare al greto del Rivis, è ben battuto, anche se non ha i bolli blu. Dopo 100 metri di traverso salire ripidamente verso sx a zig zag, anche qui battuto, e superare un antro (affluente da riva dx Costa Stretta) e poi tenere la cengia in leggera salita fino ad arrivare sul greto, inizio della nostra discesa. Inquinamento nessuno.
