Von Ampezzo kommend Richtung Sauris fahren. Bei der ersten markanten Linkskehre parken. (50m weiter gibt es einen super Parkplatz, wer sich in der Kehre nicht wohl fühlt). Sind von Ampezzo ca. 3km zu fahren.
Coming from Ampezzo, drive towards Sauris. Park at the first prominent leftward haipin bend. (50m further on there is a superiore parking lot, if you don't feel comfortable in the hairpin bends). It is about 3km from Ampezzo.

Man fährt vom Ausstiegsparkplatz noch weiter Richtung Sauris, bei den Tunnels durch und nach einigen Kurven (ca. 1-2km) findet man auf der rechten Seite einen kleinen Parkplatz mit einem Wegweiser auf einem Holzstiel. Hier parken, der Weg führt direkt von hier in ca. 10 min. runter zur Schlucht. Bei einer Stahlbrücke geht gleich danach der Weg links weg und man ist in 2 Minuten in der Schlucht.
From the parking exit, continue in the direction of Sauris, drive through the tunnels and after a few bends (approx. 1-2 km) you will find a small parking lot on the right-hand side with a signpost on a wooden pole. Park here, the path leads directly from here down to the canyon in about 10 minutes. At a steel bridge, the path goes off to the left immediately afterwards and you are in the canyon in 2 minutes.

In der Schlucht selber gibt es nur einen markanten Abseiler mit ca. 15m, alles andere kann abgeklettert oder gesprungen werden.
Variante:
Falls man im Anschluss nach der Novarza nur den oberen teil der Lumiei machen will, geht man am Ende der Novarza (auf ca.650Hm) li durch den Stollen.
Danach befinden sich li mehrere Bohrhaken wo ein 20m Seil befestigt werden kann.
Nach dem Einhängen des Seils geht man ca. 50m zurück um beim großen Fels mit Bewuchs orografisch re aus der Novarza auszusteigen.
Vor der kleinen Hängebrücke geht man re den Weg hinunter um nach ca. 5min in die Lumiei einzusteigen.Nach dem 20m Abseiler kommt man wieder ans "Tageslicht" und zum zuvor befestigten Ausstiegsseil.
Hier aufsteigen und selben Weg wie zuvor zurück zur Brücke und dann weiter rauf zum Parkplatz

If you only want to do the upper part of the Lumiei after the Novarza, go left through the tunnel at the exit of the Novarza (at approx. 650m).
There are several bolts on the left where you can attach a 20m rope.
After attaching the ropes, go back about 50m to exit the Novarza orographic right at the large rock with vegetation.
Before the small suspension bridge, go right down the path to enter the Lumiei after approx. 5 min. After the 20m rappel, you come back to "daylight" and to the previously attached exit rope.
Climb up here and take the same route as before back to the bridge and then continue up to the parking lot

After a series of waterfalls cascade into the canyon from the left and trees grow in from the right, watch out for a cairn on a large stone. The path goes slightly diagonally away and is marked in white and blue. Return to the car in 15 min.
