Permit required for the area, but no checkpoint.

Park on road leading up to 51QUF 02303 60634 Walk south to south west on trail up past abandoned shed and onto single track up over saddle and down hill to main river to 51QUF 00840 58622 and set up base camp for the night. River trace up the canyon to angels falls to put a handline to make it easier to come out of the pool (and also be sure that someone in the group can actually swim it). If not able to river trace up to there, probably not a good idea to try to do the canyon.

Hike south west up ridge from base camp to 51QTF 99802 57814 and then drop into canyon on west of ridge, follow downstream (north) until reaching junction with main river, follow this downstream back to base camp (51QUF 00840 58622).

Enjoy the amazing hot springs between the last obstacle of the canyon and your base camp.

Very high flow when you join the main creek, crux is Angels falls but many hard areas, teams already ended up overnighting just before Angel's Falls because of the high flow.
