Der stellenweise eng und tief eingeschnittene, meist wasserarme Brusnik Bach (ca. 2/3 Zeitaufwand der Tour) mündet in den wesentlich mehr aquatischen Rocica Bach (ca.1/3 Zeitaufwand der Tour) der uns über einen 60m Wasserfall wieder zum unteren Parkplatz führt.

Unterer Parkplatz: Von Bovec kommend in der Ortschaft Kobarid den Schildern Richtung Campinplatz Lazar folgen, über die Napoleon Brücke auf das linke Soca Ufer wechseln und die Fahrt Richtung Süden in die Ortschaft Ladra fortsetzen. In der Ortschaft die dritte Abzweigung links nehmen (kurz vor der Brücke über die Rocica). Bis ans Ende der Straße fahren und parken. Edit 3.08.2024 wir wurden von den Anrainern freundlich hingewiesen, dass die Parkplätze am Ende der Straße Privatgrund sind. Wir haben einfach im Ort (3min längerer Ausstieg) auf den gekenzzeichneten Parkplätzen geparkt. oberer Parkplatz: vom unteren Parkplatz retour zu Napoleon Brücke. Diese jedoch links liegen lassen und der kurvigen Straße hinauf in die Ortschaft Dreznica folgen. Dort den Schilder Richtung Kosec folgen. In Kosec befindet sich auf der linken Straßenseite ein gekennzeichneter Wanderparkplatz. Im Zweifelsfall einfach freundlich fragen. Autoumstellung =8km,15min. Fahrzeit.

Lower parking lot: Coming from Bovec, in the village of Kobarid, follow the signs for Campinplatz Lazar, cross the Napoleon Bridge onto the left bank of the Soca and continue south to the village of Ladra. In the village, take the third turning on the left (just before the bridge over the Rocica). Drive to the exit of the road and park. We simply parked in the village (3min longer exit) in the marked parking spaces. Upper parking lot: From the lower parking lot back to Napoleon Bridge. In 30m Entfernung zum südlichen Widerlager der Brücke über den Brusnik in der Ortschaft Kosec zieht ein Weg über Felder hinunter zu einer Kapelle. Hinter der Kapelle durch das Gatter im Zaun und eine günstige Abseilstelle von einem der Bäume suchen. Wir sind im Wald ca 50m Flussauwärts geganen und haben dort von der Böschung abgeseilt. Es lohnt sich nicht, schon an der Straßenbrücke in das mit Steinen ausgekleidete Bachbett einzusteigen.

At a distance of 30m from the southern abutment of the bridge over the Brusnik in the village of Kosec, a path leads across fields down to a chapel. Behind the chapel, go through the gate in the fence and look for a good place to abseil from one of the trees. We walked about 50 meters upstream in the forest and rappelled from the embankment. It is not worth getting into the stone-lined streambed at the road bridge.

Anfänglich tief eingeschnittene Schlucht mit wenig guter Wasserqualität. Die Absicherungen bestehen manchmal nur aus alten 8mm Bohrhaken.\ in Notausstieg ist erst bei der Einmündung in die Rocica möglich. Hier verdreifacht sich die Wassermenge zu Gunsten besserer Wasserqualität. Spektakulär ist der wuchtige 65m Endwasserfall der außerhalb der Wasserlinie abgeseilt wird und in ein riesiges Becken mündet hier sollte man ein 70m Seil zum abseilen verwenden. Ein wesentlich längeres Abzugseil ist praktisch.

Initially deep canyon with poor water quality. The protection sometimes only consists of old 8mm bolts.\ in emergency exit is only possible at the confluence with the Rocica. Spectacular is the massive 65m final waterfall, which is rappelled outside the waterline and flows into a huge basin - here you should use a 70m rappel rope. A much longer abseil rope is practical.

nach dem 60m Wasserfall noch etwas im Bachbett wandern. Es folgt noch ein 5m abseiler der mit zwei Kettenständen abgesichert ist. Danach rechts auf den Steig aussteigen und noch ein paar Meter im Wald parallel dem Bach folgen bis man eine gemauerte Wehrstufe erreicht und rechts auf der Straße zurück zum Auto.

After the 60m waterfall, hike a little in the streambed. This is followed by a 5m rappel that is secured with two chain anchors. Then exit right onto the path and follow the stream parallel to the forest for a few more meters until you reach a brick weir step and turn right onto the road back to the car.
