Von Faial an der Nordküste auf der ER 103 in Richtung Funchal. Stetig bergan durchfährt man nach etwa 3 km Sâo Roque do Faial und erreicht nach etwa 5 km die wenigen Häuser von Cruzinhas. Hier biegen wir rechts ab in Richtung Lombo do Gallego und fahren in Serpentinen hinab zur Brücke über die Rib. Seca. Hier das untere Fahrzeug abstellen.Mit dem anderen fahren wir wieder hinauf nach Cruzinhas, biegen auf die ER 103 nach rechts (Süden) ein und kommen nach etwa 800 m über einen Fluss. Direkt nach der Brücke biegen wir rechts ab auf eine Piste, die uns nach etwa 4 km zum E-Werk Central Hidroeléctrica de Fajá da Nogueira bringt. Wir fahren unter dem Staubecken nach rechts entlang un stellen dann am Fuße des Berghanges das zweite Fahrzeug ab.
From Faial on the north coast on the ER 103 in the direction of Funchal. Steadily uphill you pass Sâo Roque do Faial after about 3 km and after about 5 km you reach the few houses of Cruzinhas. Here we turn right towards Lombo do Gallego and descend in switchbacks to the bridge over the Rib. Seca. With the other one we drive back up to Cruzinhas, turn right (south) on the ER 103 and after about 800 m we cross a river. Immediately after the bridge, we turn right onto a dirt road that takes us to the Central Hidroeléctrica de Fajá da Nogueira electric plant after about 4 km. We drive under the reservoir to the right and then park the second vehicle at the foot of the mountain slope.

Man kann jedoch auch schon etwa 200m vorher (und 100 m vor einem Wasserleitungssteg) links hinaus auf die hier gemauerte Wasserleitung und dieser folgend zum unteren Fahrzeug (um an diesem Ausstieg nicht vorbeizulaufen, sollte man zuerst vom unteren Parkplatz der Wasserleitung bis zu diesem Ausstiegs-Punkt nach oben folgen - 10 Min.).
