Auf der Autobahn von Málaga aus die erste Ausfahrt nach Nerja abfahren und bis in die Stadt fahren. Am Kreisverkehr nach dem Busbahnhof schräg links der Hauptstraße folgen, um diese dann am zweiten Kreisel nach links in die C/. Romero zu verlassen. Jetzt immer geradeaus über mehrere Kreuzungen, bis die Straße nach links abbiegt, weil sie am Abhang angelangt ist. Jetzt führt gleich eine Straße nach rechts hinten diesen Abhang herunter in das Tal des Río Chillar. Hier dem Weg entlang dem Flussbett folgen, bis man am Steinbruch angekommen ist.

On the highway from Málaga, take the first exit to Nerja and drive into the town. At the traffic circle after the bus station, follow the main road diagonally to the left and then turn left at the second traffic circle into C/. Romero at the second roundabout. Now continue straight ahead over several crossroads until the road turns left because it has reached a slope. A road to the right now leads down this slope into the valley of the Río Chillar. Follow the path along the river bed until you reach the quarry.

Besser als die von Sanchez beschriebene Tour mit einer aufwändigen Umsetzung ist die hier vorgeschlagene Wanderung den Bach hinauf (oder auf dem Wanderweg an dessen orograf. li. Ufer) und wieder zurück.Auch der Zustieg von Frigiliana zum Zustiegspunkt von Sanchez (blaues E auf der Skizze) ist einfacher als die Autoumsetzung mit Ausgangspunkt auf der anderen Seite des Tals (blaues P 2 auf der Skizze).Die Bachwanderung (Länge etwa 7 km einfach) ist nicht überwältigend, aber im Sommer(ggf. mit Kindern) ganz nett. Begehung Ende Okt. 2006 (nach Beschreibung Sanchez mit Autoumsetzung) sowie am 02.11.2016 von unten her.

Better than the tour described by Sanchez with an elaborate implementation is the hike suggested here up the stream (or on the hiking trail on its orographic left bank) and back.also the access from Frigiliana to the access point of Sanchez (blue E on the sketch) is easier than the shuttle with starting point on the other side of the valley (blue P 2 on the sketch).the river walk (length about 7 km easy) is not overwhelming, but quite nice in summer (possibly with children). Exit at the end of Oct. 2006 (as described by Sanchez with shuttle) and on 02.11.2016 from below.
