ca. 15min Von Mondsee fährt man auf der Bundesstraße (Romantikstraße) Richtung St. Gilgen. Nach der Ortschaft Scharfling li. Richtung Unterach abbiegen. Nach dem Tunnel re. begrenzte Parkmöglichkeiten neben der Straße bzw. besser 300m weiterfahren und beim öffentlichen Badeplatz parken.

approx. 15min From Mondsee take the main road (Romantikstraße) in the direction of St. Gilgen. After the village of Scharfling, turn left towards Unterach. After the tunnel, there is limited parking on the right next to the road, or it is better to continue for 300m and park at the public bathing area.

ca. 50min Vom Parkplatz aus folgt man der Wanderweg Beschilderung Eisenau --> in kürze erreicht man den Abschlussabseiler (Wasserstand Kontrolle) --> weiter Bergauf überquert man nach ca. 15min den Bach (Aus/Einstiegsmöglichkeit) --> hier weiter hinauf, vorbei am Wasserbrunnen und einer Holzhütte gelangt man zur Forststraße mit Weggabelung --> hier re der Forststraße folgen --> an der Stelle wo die Forststraße eine leichte li. Kurve macht verlässt man diesen re. und folgt weiter den unscheinbaren Waldweg bergab bis zum Bach

approx. 50min From the parking lot, follow the hiking trail signposted Eisenau --> you will soon reach the final abseil (check water level) --> continue uphill and cross the stream after approx. 15min (exit/entry point) --> continue uphill here, past the water fountain and a wooden hut to reach the forest road with a fork --> follow the forest road to the right --> at the point where the forest road makes a slight left bend, leave it to the right and continue downhill along the inconspicuous forest path to the stream.

ca. 3h Nach kurzer Strecke im Bachbett kommt eine verfallene Holzbrücke --> danach folgt eine kurze Engstelle mit kleinen Auswaschungen --> nach kurzer Wegstrecke mit Abkletterpassagen öffnet sich die Schlucht -->hier hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf den Mondsee --> über gut angebrachte Standplätze geht es über 3. Abseilstellen von 5m bis 20m zum Ersten großen 50m Wasserfall -->um zum ausgesetzten Standplatzes re. zu gelangen sollte sicherheitshalber ein abziehbares Seilgeländer aufgebaut werden!--> Die 50m Abseilstelle verläuft nur bis zur scharfen Kante im Wasser danach befindet man sich im Überhang--> Alternativ kann li. außerhalb der Wasserführung (Zwischenstand nach ca.20m+30m) abgeseilt werden --> nach dem schönen 50m-Wasserfall können die nächsten Stufen li. Umgangen werden--> danach folgen 3 kurze Abseilstellen (können zum Teil umgangen werden) -->nach zwei weiteren kurzen Abseilstellen quert man den Wanderweg den man zuvor hoch gegangen ist (Ausstiegsmöglichkeit) -->nach dem Wanderweg kommen fünf ca. 15-20m Abseilstellen die kurz aufeinander folgen (zum Abklettern meist zu rutschig) --> um zum ausgesetzten und meist sehr rutschigen Standplatz vom 50m Finalwasserfall zu kommen ist ein abziehbares Seilgeländer ratsam --> die Abseilstelle schaut von oben meist spektakulärer aus als sie ist, da man sich nur zu Beginn der Abseilstrecke in der Wasserführung befindet. (Alternativ kann auch diese Abseilstelle unterteilt werden ca. 20m+30m).

approx. 3h After a short stretch in the streambed there is a dilapidated wooden bridge --> this is followed by a short narrow section with small washouts --> after a short stretch with downclimbs the canyon opens up --> here you have a beautiful view of the Mondsee --> via well-placed belays you go over 3 abseiling points from 5m to 20m to the first large 50m waterfall --> to get to the exposed belay on the right, a removable rope traverse should be set up for safety's sake!> The 50m abseil point runs only as far as the sharp edge in the water, after which you are in the overhang--> Alternatively, you can abseil left outside the water (intermediate belay after approx. 20m+30m) --> after the beautiful 50m waterfall, the next steps can be bypassed on the left--> this is followed by 3 short rappels (some of which can be bypassed) --> after two more short rappels, you cross the hiking trail that you walked up before (exit option) --> after the hiking trail there are five approx. 15-20m rappelling points that follow each other in quick succession (usually too slippery for downclimbing) --> to get to the exposed and usually very slippery stand of the 50m final waterfall, a removable rope traverse is advisable --> the rappelling point usually looks more spectacular from above than it is, as you are only in the water at the beginning of the rappelling route. (Alternatively, this abseiling point can also be divided into approx. 20m+30m).

ca. 10min Unten angekommen folgt man dem Wanderweg li. zurück bis zum Parkplatz.

approx. 10min At the bottom follow the trail on the left back to the parking lot.
