Wir verlassen die AP-7 - Autopista del Mediteráneo, Tarragona nach Valencia - kurz vor Erreichen des Ebro und fahren über die C-12 nordwärts nach Tortosa (nicht ganz 20 km bis Stadtmitte). In der Ortschaft fahren wir weiter auf der C-12 nordwärts in Richtung Lleida Etwa 3 km hinter der Ortschaft Xerta (und 14,5 km nach Tortosa - Zentrum) biegen wir links ab auf die N-230b in Richtung Gandesa. Nach weiteren 7,2 km biegen wir wieder links abbiegen auf die T-333 in Richtung Valderrobres. Nicht ganz 14 km nach der letzten Abzweigung kommen wir an eine T-Kreuzung, wo rechts die T-334 in nördlicher Richtung nach Horta de Sant Joan abgeht.
Wir fahren jedoch noch 270 m auf der T-333 weiter, um dann links abzubiegen auf die Straße, die in südlicher Richtung auf die Berge zuläuft. Aber schon 270 m weiter biegen wir links ab auf eine Piste in Richtung El Ventador Wegweiser: "Salt de Sotorres et El Ventador". Die Piste führt in's Tal des Riu de Canaleta und am jenseitigen Hang wieder aufwärts. 2,2 km nach der Brücke (und 4,1 km ab T-333) - zwei links abgehende Feldwege ignorieren wir - kommen wir zunächst zur Furt durch den Cubars und wenige Meter danach zu einem größeren Anwesen. Hier können wir hinunterschauen in einen großen Kessel mit Wasserfall und Mühle unter der Felswand. Wir stellen unser Auto ab. Vgl.: * http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=7896376
We leave the AP-7 - Autopista del Mediteráneo, Tarragona to Valencia - shortly before reaching the Ebro and take the C-12 northwards to Tortosa (not quite 20 km to the town center). Once in the town, continue north on the C-12 towards Lleida. About 3 km after the town of Xerta (and 14.5 km after Tortosa town center), turn left onto the N-230b towards Gandesa. After another 7.2 km, turn left again onto the T-333 towards Valderrobres. Not quite 14 km after the last junction, we come to a T-junction where the T-334 turns off to the right in a northerly direction towards Horta de Sant Joan.
However, we continue on the T-333 for another 270 m before turning left onto the road heading south towards the mountains. But just 270 m further on, we turn left onto a dirt road towards El Ventador, signposted "Salt de Sotorres et El Ventador". The track leads into the valley of the Riu de Canaleta and up the slope on the other side. 2.2 km after the bridge (and 4.1 km from T-333) - we ignore two dirt tracks on the left - we first come to the ford through the Cubars and a few meters after that to a larger estate. Wir können von hier den Wegweisern (ua. "Salt de Ventador") folgen. Wir kommen auf einen Rücken und folgen dem Zustieg hinunter in den Riu. Der alte Zustieg über den schönen Einstiegswasserfall mit 6 m-Sprung ist nicht mehr gestattet.
From here we can follow the signposts (including "Salt de Ventador"). We come to a ridge and follow the access down into the Riu. The old access via the beautiful entry waterfall with a 6 m jump is no longer permitted.

Den Einstiegswasserfall sehen wir nun im Kessel hinter dem großen Gumpen von unten, mit dem 6m-Sprung wird es etwas schwierig. So springen und laufen wir eben abwärts. Passieren dabei mehrere kleine "Oscuros" und stehen schon viel zu früh am Ende des Canyons (der von hier aus auch nach oben begangen werden kann). Vgl.:
