Auf der A-14 die Adria entlang nach Süden bis Pescara.Hier wechseln auf die A-24 (Richtung Rom). Von hier rund 20 km bis zur Ausfahrt Alanno - Scafa. Auf der parallel zur A-24 laufenden SS-5 nun 3,7 km in gegenläufiger Richtung (Chieti, Pescara) und dann rechts abzweigen nach Manopello (4,7 km).Von hier südostwärts weiter nach Serramonacesca (ca. 4 km). In der Mitte der Ortschaft folgt man dem Hinweisschild zur Abbazia di San Liberatore a Majella nach Süden. An einer Verzweigung außerhalb der Ortschaft nimmt man die linke Straße und erreicht schnell die Kirche, wo sich auch ein Platz zum Parken findet.

Man folgt dem Sträßchen weiter, überquert auf einer Brücke den Alento und geht von da noch etwa 400 m weiter. Dann eröffnet sich von der Straße aus der Blick auf einen kleinen Wasserfall. 50 m weiter sucht man sich den Weg zum Bach (470 m ü.NN).

Nachdem man die Straßenbrücke unterquert hat, stößt man auf einen Wanderweg. Man kann nun diesen benutzen oder weiter im Bachbett gehen, kann sich rechts oberhalb die in Tuff geschlagenen Grabstätten anschauen und kommt schließlich zu einem kleinen Platz mit Bänken, wo der Weg über den Bach und in wenigen Minuten links hinauf zum Ausgangspunkt führt.Wem danach ist und wer nicht den Aufstieg links durch die Vegetation scheut, der kann auch noch die 3 Gumpen unterhalb der Bachquerung mitnehmen.
