Von der Autobahnabfahrt Bellinzona Süd kommend über den Fluss Ticino, am Flugplatz von Locarno vorbei und dann am Kreisel geradeaus bis zur T-Kreuzung. Hier links und den Wegweisern in's Verzascatal folgend über Gordola, vorbei am Staudamm, am Stausee entlang nach Vogorno (11,3 km ab Überquerung des Ticino). Vom Zentrum Vogorno (Kirche San Antonio) fahren wir noch 2,4 km am Stausee entlang und biegen dann links ab auf die Straße nach Bassa Corippo (560 m üNN). Mit etwas Glück finden wir vor Bassa Corippo einen Platz für das Auto.

Coming from the highway exit Bellinzona Süd, cross the river Ticino, pass Locarno airport and then straight on at the traffic circle to the T-junction. Turn left here and follow the signs into the Verzasca Valley via Gordola, past the dam, along the reservoir to Vogorno (11.3 km from the crossing of the Ticino). From the center of Vogorno (church of San Antonio) we cycle another 2.4 km along the reservoir and then turn left onto the road to Bassa Corippo (560 m above sea level). With a bit of luck, we will find a place to park the car before Bassa Corippo.

Wir wandern durch die Ortschaft bis zu deren westlichen Ende. Hier nehmen wir den Steig, der uns hinaufführt zum Weiler Costa (750 m üNN). Wir folgen ihm weiter in südwestlicher Richtung (Weiler Orxino) . Wir kommen hinunter in das Bachbett, wo der Einstieg ist.

We hike through the village to its western exit. Here we take the path that leads us up to the hamlet of Costa (750 m above sea level). We follow it further in a south-westerly direction (hamlet of Orxino). We descend to the streambed where the entry point is.

Wenn man aber das Auto in Corippo stehen hat, steigt man unmittelbar vor dem Stausee (wenn er ganz voll ist, bei der Bachmündung in den Stausee) links hinauf. Durch ein Gebüsch erreicht man einen alten Pfad, dem man hinauf zur Ortschaft Bassa Corippo folgt. Der von Nizzola in seinem Buch Eldorado Ticino skizzierte Ausstieg rechts hinauf, ist zu Beginn mit etwas ausgesetzter Gratkletterei verbunden und nicht verifiziert.

Depending on the water level in the reservoir, the exit is either a slide into the water or a rappel followed by a jump into the water of the Verzasca reservoir. Then you swim to the other bank and climb up to the road. However, if you have left the car in Corippo, climb up to the left immediately before the reservoir (when it is completely full, at the mouth of the stream into the reservoir). Through the bushes you reach an old path that you follow up to the village of Bassa Corippo. The exit up to the right outlined by Nizzola in his book Eldorado Ticino involves some exposed ridge climbing at the beginning and is not verified.
