From the A26 highway, take the Verbania exit and continue for a few kilometers. Pass a roundabout and then turn left towards Premeno. Once in Trobaso (Verbania), go straight at the second roundabout and drive through the village. At the next roundabout, turn left, continuing to follow the signs for Premeno. The road climbs with hairpins; upon reaching Arizzano, turn right towards the village center and drive through it, following signs for Caronio and Cargiago. Park just outside Arizzano, at an obvious picnic area on the right. Alternatively, you can park further ahead, depending on whether you prefer a longer return or a longer approach.

Continue along the road, pass a first bridge (pizzeria on the left) and immediately after a second one—this one over the stream to be descended—where you can evaluate the water flow. Continue further until reaching a picnic area on the left. From here, follow the archeological trail marked with orange dots. After an initial uphill section, the path flattens out. At a junction with a sign, already in view of the stream, leave the orange dots and reach the stream bed near a small stone bridge, the starting point.

The route, although somewhat discontinuous, features beautiful rappels all under 30 meters, a couple of jumps, and a few small slides. Escape Routes: After the first section, it is possible to exit at the road bridge; after that, none are visible. Numerous high-water safety spots. Linking this route with the lower section is not recommended. After the hydro plant, there is a long, exhausting, and uninteresting section before reaching the lower part.

After the highest rappel, the stream opens up significantly near a small hydro plant on the right. Climb up a few meters (before the water outlet) to the entrance of the hydro plant and follow the access path, which leads back to the road at the first picnic area.

The flow rate usually does not present any difficulties, except during heavy rainfall. In summer it decreases drastically, along with the appeal of the descent. Waterworks: Upstream intake, unverified.
