Auf den hochgelegenen Weiden des Monte Tamaro beginnt eine Reihe von Wasserfällen, die manchmal zwischen Felswänden eingezwängt sind, manchmal aber auch offen und aussichtsreich.

Downstream: reach the bridge over the stream on Via Loreto in Mezzovico-Vira. In front of the elementary school (Via Squardìn) there are some parking spots reserved for teachers, which can be used when the school is closed (46°05'32.3"N 8°55'05.2"E). Upstream: from the school parking, head south, turn right onto Via Morengo, then right again onto Via Ai Ronchi. The road ascends with several switchbacks; follow it to the end and park in the large parking area (46°05'20.8"N 8°54'25"E). At the cable car: return to the main road and head north towards Rivera. Park in front of the Monte Tamaro cable car, in the large Splash and Spa Tamaro parking area (5 CHF/day) (46°07'34.7"N 8°55'11.5"E).

Flussabwärts: bis zur Brücke über den Bach in der Via Loreto in Mezzovico-Vira. Vor der Grundschule (Via Squardìn) gibt es einige für Lehrer reservierte Parkplätze, die genutzt werden können, wenn die Schule geschlossen ist (46°05'32.3 "N 8°55'05.2 "E). Flussaufwärts: Vom Parkplatz der Schule aus fährt man in Richtung Süden, biegt rechts in die Via Morengo und dann wieder rechts in die Via Ai Ronchi ein. Die Straße steigt in mehreren Serpentinen an; man folgt ihr bis zum Ende und parkt auf dem großen Parkplatz (46°05'20.8 "N 8°54'25 "E). An der Seilbahn: zurück zur Hauptstraße und in nördlicher Richtung nach Rivera fahren. Parken Sie vor der Seilbahn Monte Tamaro auf dem großen Parkplatz des Splash and Spa Tamaro (5 CHF/Tag) (46°07'34.7 "N 8°55'11.5 "E).

By cable car: from the Monte Tamaro cable car arrival at Alpe Foppa, take the trail south towards Alpe Duragno. The trail initially loses elevation to cross a small valley, then climbs over a ridge entering the Duragno basin. At Alpe Duragno, briefly follow the trail descending along the valley; when it crosses the stream at 1420 m, enter the side valley. The first waterfall is encountered shortly after (46°06'12"N 8°53'47.4"E). Approx. 50 minutes, +80 m elevation gain. With shuttle: take the uphill trail from the upper parking. At the first junction, keep right towards Alpe Uggi. Continue north until reaching the Duragno stream bridge, cross it, and at subsequent junctions keep left following signs to Alpe Duragno. When the trail crosses the stream again at 1420 m, enter the side valley. Approx. 2h, +660 m elevation gain. Without shuttle: from the school parking, head south, turn right onto Via Morengo, ignore Via Ai Ronchi, and turn right shortly after. Take the trail that initially cuts across the switchbacks of the paved road, then climbs steeply to Alpe Tortoi. Just above Alpe Tortoi, reach the Duragno stream bridge, then follow signs to Alpe Duragno as described in the shuttle approach. Approx. 3h, +1000 m elevation gain.

Mit der Seilbahn: Von der Bergstation der Seilbahn Monte Tamaro auf der Alpe Foppa nimmt man den Weg nach Süden in Richtung Alpe Duragno. Der Weg verliert zunächst an Höhe, um ein kleines Tal zu durchqueren, und steigt dann über einen Grat in den Duragno-Kessel an. Auf der Alpe Duragno folgt man kurz dem talwärts führenden Weg, der bei der Überquerung des Baches auf 1420 m in das Seitental führt. Kurz darauf trifft man auf den ersten Wasserfall (46°06'12 "N 8°53'47.4 "E). Ca. 50 Minuten, +80 m Höhenunterschied. Mit dem Shuttle: vom oberen Parkplatz aus den Weg bergauf nehmen. Bei der ersten Abzweigung hält man sich rechts in Richtung Alpe Uggi. Weiter nach Norden bis zur Brücke über den Duragno-Bach, diese überqueren und an den folgenden Abzweigungen links halten und den Schildern zur Alpe Duragno folgen. Wenn der Weg auf 1420 m erneut den Bach überquert, geht es in das Seitental. Ca. 2 Std., +660 m Höhenunterschied. Ohne Shuttle: Vom Schulparkplatz in Richtung Süden, rechts in die Via Morengo einbiegen, die Via Ai Ronchi ignorieren und kurz darauf rechts abbiegen. Man nimmt den Weg, der zunächst über die Serpentinen der Asphaltstraße führt und dann steil zur Alpe Tortoi ansteigt. Kurz oberhalb der Alpe Tortoi erreicht man die Brücke über den Duragno-Bach und folgt der Beschilderung zur Alpe Duragno, wie bei der Anfahrt mit dem Shuttle beschrieben. Ca. 3 Std., +1000 m Höhenunterschied.

Immediately after the last rappel, an aqueduct can be seen on the right bank near a resurgence/tributary. On the left bank, there is the access trail to the aqueduct, which can be used to exit the valley and return to the vehicles. A steel cable assists progression on the more exposed sections. Approximately 30 minutes for 250 m of descent (D-).

Unmittelbar nach der letzten Abseilstelle kann man am rechten Ufer in der Nähe eines Zuflusses ein Aquädukt sehen. Am linken Ufer befindet sich der Zugangsweg zum Aquädukt, über den man das Tal verlassen und zu den Fahrzeugen zurückkehren kann. Ein Stahlseil erleichtert das Vorankommen auf den ausgesetzten Abschnitten. Ca. 30 Minuten für 250 m Abstieg (D-).
