Crossings in the El Escobonal area We need to head along the TF28 between Fasnia and El Escobonal. Access points to the Cano and Archifira crossings Exactly at kilometre marker 39.5, heading towards El Escobonal, is the bridge over the Herques stream; just past this is the tunnel, and on the right there is a place to park your car for the return journey. Access points to the Cano and Archifira streams Drive back to kilometre marker 40, where you’ll find the turn-off to the right towards Archifira. After 4 kilometres along this road (taking all the right-hand turn-offs), you’ll reach the head of the Cano stream; continue uphill for another 2 km until the tarmac road ends and a track begins; there’s a clearing beside it where you can park.

We follow the track for 100 metres until we reach the clearly visible riverbed

After the final abseil, we head out through the gully to the Cercado de la Viña Gallery; from here, we’ll take the track that leads to Aguerche and continues on to the road, just above the tunnel.
