Von Ventimiglia das Tal der Roya 16 km aufwärts; dann links an auf die D 93 in Richtung Sospel. Von dort weiter nach links auf der D2566 Richtung Moulinet ca. 5.5 km bis von Rechts das Tal von Reoune ins Tal mündet. (Google Maps: Gorges du Piaon). Von dort zurück nach Sospel und dort die erste Brücke nach dem Camping über die Bevera nehmen. Links abbiegen dofort danach halbrechts abbiegen in einer Serpentine nach oben, ca. 50 m danach links abbiegen in den Chemin de Cantamerlo diesem Folgen bergan bis zum Col de L'Agaisen (666m), weiter zur Baisse de Fighièra (750m). Hier das zweite Auto parken. Aval: Nach Sospel am Eingang der Piaon-Schlucht 200 m vor der Markierung 80 parken (großer Parkplatz mit 5-6 Stellplätzen links bergauf). Zugang stromaufwärts Nr. 1 mit 4 km Shuttle: 3 km zurück nach Sospel fahren und links (Holzschild „Camping”) eine Straße nehmen, die die Bévéra überquert. Nach der Brücke von Sospel über die Bévéra geradeaus weiterfahren und auf dem Privatweg parken, wo sich mehrere Briefkästen befinden. Zugang bergauf Nr. 2 mit 10 km Shuttle: 3 km zurück nach Sospel fahren und links (Holzschild „Camping”) eine Straße nehmen, die die Bévéra überquert. Gleich nach der Brücke links abbiegen und dann fast sofort rechts. An der Gabelung, fast oben, biegen Sie links ab und fahren weiter bergauf bis zum Pass (Baisse de Figuiera), wo Sie mehrere Autos links von der Straße oder rechts darunter auf einem kleinen Parkplatz parken können. Die Straße bergauf ist nicht breit und die Anwohner fahren schnell. Seien Sie beim Shuttle vorsichtig.

From Ventimiglia up the Roya valley for 16 km; then turn left onto the D93 towards Sospel. From there, continue left on the D2566 towards Moulinet for approx. 5.5 km until the Reoune valley enters the valley from the right. (Google Maps: Gorges du Piaon). From there back to Sospel and take the first bridge after the campsite over the Bevera. Turn left, then turn half-right in a serpentine uphill, about 50 m later turn left into the Chemin de Cantamerlo, follow this uphill to the Col de L'Agaisen (666m), continue to the Baisse de Fighièra (750m). Park the second car here. Aval: After Sospel, park at the entrance to the Piaon canyon 200 m before marker 80 (large parking lot with 5-6 spaces on the left uphill). Just after the bridge, turn left and then almost immediately right. At the fork, almost at the top, turn left and continue uphill to the mountain pass (Baisse de Figuiera) where you can park several cars on the left of the road or on the right below in a small parking lot. The road uphill is not wide and local residents drive fast. Be careful with the shuttle.

Auf dem GR 52 bis man am Balise 77 den GR nach links verlässt (WP 1). Den Hang entlang einqueren am Point Calivera über den Stattel, danach weglos einqueren zur Startkoordinate. Anfahrt mit dem Shuttlebus (4 km): Zu Fuß folgt man der betonierten Straße (mit der Karte im Maßstab 1:25.000) und den gelben Markierungen, die in einer Stunde zum Pass unterhalb des Kreuzes von La Réoune führen. Dort folgt man dem Kamm in Richtung Südosten und biegt an seinem Ende rechts ab (Steinhaufen) auf einen Pfad, der durch den Wald hinunter zum Tal und dann zum oberen Ende des ersten Wasserfalls führt (insgesamt 1 Stunde 15 Minuten). Anfahrt mit dem Shuttlebus (10 km): Vom Parkplatz aus dem GR52 folgen, der bis zur Markierung 77 hinaufführt. Dann links den Weg (gelbe Markierung) nehmen, der zum Kreuz von Réoune hinaufführt. Wenn man ein schönes kleines Plateau erreicht, den gelb markierten Weg verlassen und nach links gehen, um den blau markierten Weg CD06 zu finden (ein schlecht platziertes und schlecht befestigtes Schild weist auf diesen Zugang hin). Der Weg geht in einen Pfad über, der in einen recht „offenen” Wald hinunterführt. Am Ende des Tals angekommen, steigen Sie auf guten Pfaden auf dem linken Flussufer bis zum Beginn der Schlucht hinab (Seilgeländer des ersten Abseilers auf dem linken Flussufer). Anfahrt ohne Shuttle (2 Std., Start des zweiten Teils): Vom unteren Parkplatz aus gehen Sie einige Meter die Straße hinauf, um zur Markierung 80 zu gelangen, und folgen dem PR in Richtung Sospel. Überqueren Sie die Brücke und folgen Sie dem Weg, der unter den Stangen hindurchführt, bevor Sie eine Reihe von Serpentinen in Angriff nehmen (Achtung, in der ersten Serpentine zweigt ein Weg geradeaus ab, den Sie nicht nehmen dürfen). Folgen Sie dem PR weiter über Serpentinen durch wunderschöne Terrassen bis Sie an einem kleinen Privatgrundstück vorbeikommen. Hier verlassen Sie den PR und folgen dem Kamm in nördlicher Richtung, insgesamt eher links (Jägerwege, gut begehbar, aber steil!) bis zum kleinen Gipfel, der auf der IGN-Karte mit 917 m angegeben ist. Von dort aus folgen Sie weiter dem Kamm für den letzten steilen Aufstieg vor Ihnen. Wenn der Hang flacher wird, nehmen Sie sich Zeit, die Landschaft zu bewundern, bevor Sie links direkt den Hang hinuntersteigen (etwas steil, kein richtiger Weg), um den Bach unterhalb zu erreichen, wenige Meter vor den großen Steilwänden.

Follow the GR 52 until you leave the GR to the left at Balise 77 (SS 1). Cross along the slope at Point Calivera over the Stattel, then cross without a path to the start coordinate. Approach with the shuttle bus (4 km): On foot, follow the concreted road (with the 1:25,000 scale map) and the yellow markings that lead to the mountain pass below the cross of La Réoune in an hour. From there, follow the ridge to the southeast and at its exit, turn right (cairn) onto a path that descends through the forest to the valley and then to the top of the first waterfall (1 hour 15 minutes in total). Approach by shuttle bus (10 km): From the parking lot, follow the GR52 up to marker 77. Then take the path on the left (yellow marker) that goes up to the cross of Réoune. When you reach a beautiful little plateau, leave the yellow-marked path and turn left to find the blue-marked path CD06 (a badly placed and poorly fixed sign indicates this access). The path turns into a path that leads down into a fairly "open" forest. Once at the exit of the valley, descend on good paths on the left bank of the river to the beginning of the canyon (rope traverse of the first rappel on the left bank of the river). Approach without shuttle (2 hours, start of the second part): From the lower parking lot, walk a few meters up the road to reach marker 80 and follow the PR towards Sospel. Cross the bridge and follow the path that goes under the poles before tackling a series of hairpin bends (be careful, at the first hairpin bend, a path branches off straight ahead that you must not take). Continue along the PR over hairpin bends through beautiful terraces until you pass a small private property. Leave the PR here and follow the ridge in a northerly direction, generally to the left (hunter's paths, easy to walk on, but steep!) up to the small summit, which is indicated on the IGN map at 917 m. From there, continue to follow the ridge for the last steep ascent ahead. When the slope flattens out, take time to admire the scenic views before descending directly down the slope on the left (a little steep, not really a path) to reach the stream below, a few meters before the large steep walls.

Nach links auf einem kleinen Pfad an der Bevera entlang, über die Brücke zum Auto. Gehen Sie bis zum Zusammenfluss mit der Bévéra hinunter und folgen Sie dem Weg am linken Ufer bis zu einer Brücke. Überqueren Sie diese und kehren Sie zur Straße zurück, Markierung 80.
