Nach der Umfahrung von Genf auf der Schweizer N 1 nach der Landesgrenze etwa 2,5 km auf der A 401 in Richtung Lyon, Dijon, Paris, beim Autobahnkreuz dann auf die A 40 weiter in Richtung Lyon, Dijon, Paris. Nach weiteren 23 km die Abfahrt 11 (Bellegarde Center) nehmen in Richtung Fragny, Seyssel. 6 km weiter am Ortsausgang von Mons rechts ab auf die D 992 und durch Seyssel und Culoz (weitere 23 km), wo man auf der D 904 (Richtung Bourg-en-Bresse) zusätzliche 8,5 km weiterfährt bis Artemare (insgesamt 62 km ab Grenze). Von hier geht es weiter auf der D904 in Richtung Amberieu-en-Bugey. Wir erreichen die Ortschaft Virieu-le-Grand. Hier biegen wir ab auf die D53 in Richtung Thézillieu. Ungefähr 10 km geht es in Kurven bergan, dann kommen wir auf die Hochebene, wo die Straße den Bach quert. Hier Auto abstellen.

After bypassing Geneva on the Swiss N 1 after the national border, take the A 401 towards Lyon, Dijon, Paris for about 2.5 km, then at the highway junction take the A 40 towards Lyon, Dijon, Paris. After another 23 km, take exit 11 (Bellegarde Center) in the direction of Fragny, Seyssel. 6 km further on, on leaving Mons, turn right onto the D 992 and continue through Seyssel and Culoz (another 23 km), where you continue on the D 904 (towards Bourg-en-Bresse) for a further 8.5 km to Artemare (62 km in total from the border). From here, continue on the D904 in the direction of Amberieu-en-Bugey. We reach the village of Virieu-le-Grand. Here we turn off onto the D53 in the direction of Thézillieu. The road climbs in bends for about 10 km before reaching the plateau where the road crosses the stream. Park your car here.

Ohne Wasserdurchsatz allenfalls etwas für Sammler. Unterhalb des Ausstiegs entspringt eine kräftige Karstquelle, die einen sehenswerten Wasserfall speist. Diese attraktive Passage wird aber nicht begangen - wohl verboten, um die Wasserqualität nicht zu mindern und das sensible Gewässer (Moose, Sinter) zu schonen.

With no water flow, this is something for collectors at best. Below the exit is a powerful karst spring that feeds a waterfall worth seeing. However, this attractive passage is not accessible - probably forbidden in order not to reduce the water quality and to protect the sensitive waters (mosses, sinter).

Nach der auf die C 17 folgende C 9 rechts auf den Forstweg. Diesem bis zur Teerstraße folgen, auf letzterer dann rechts etwa 500 m zum Auto.

After the C 9 that follows the C 17, turn right onto the forest road. Follow it until the tarred road, then turn right about 500 m to the car.
