The road ascends to Marzone.

From Marzone, take the nearly flat trail along the true left bank of Rio Pozzolo. The trail crosses the stream (which can serve as an entry point for Haute Rovine). Continue along the trail that goes back up on the opposite bank to Alpe Montusa. From there, follow the flat trail and reach the stream at around 960 m elevation (belay rope required).

This route is traditionally combined with Rovine.
