By car: From the S.P. della Valsesia, in Balmuccia turn right for Val Sermenza, then after 1 km turn right again for Rossa. Upon reaching Rossa, leave the car.

On foot: Cross the village along the main mule track, which continues through the forest on flat ground. Follow the signs to Alpe sull’Oro, reach it, and then descend toward the stream until the bridge that crosses it.

Enter the stream, and after one small slide and a short downclimb, you reach the large 55 m waterfall, divided into C35 left and C20 left. Then a downclimb and a C10 from a tree, followed by a 10 m slide (single anchor present), another downclimb, and for the rest of the descent there is a fairly continuous sequence of small and large slides, some jumps, and several downclimbs. In the final section, there is a series of slides, including a very long one (about 20 m) that drops into a very narrow pool—feasibility needs to be checked.

After the last section, the stream levels out, and on the left, you can see an old abandoned alpine pasture. This is where you exit; in about 20 minutes, you return to Rossa along the same trail used to approach.
