Von Cilaos nehmen wir die D 242 Richtung Ilet Dijoux und Ilet à Cordes..Wir fahren auf der RN5 in nördlicher Richtung aus Cilaos heraus. Wir stoßen auf die D241 (bei "Les Thermes") und fahren von hier 1,2 km bis zu der Stelle, wo von links der GR R2 vom Bras Rouge herauf kommt - wir im Anschluss an die Tour auch. So wir 2 Autos zur Verfügung haben, stellen wir hier das Erste ab. Mit dem Zeiten fahren wir noch 1 km weiter bis kurz vor der Brücke über den Ferrière. Links unterhalb der Straße sehen wir einen Picnicplatz mit Aussicht.
From Cilaos we take the D242 direction Ilet Dijoux and Ilet à Cordes..We drive on the RN5 in northern direction out of Cilaos. We meet the D241 (at "Les Thermes") and from here we drive 1.2 km to the place where from the left the GR R2 comes up from the Bras Rouge - we following the tour too. So we have 2 cars at our disposal, we park the first one here. With the times we continue 1 km until shortly before the bridge over the Ferrière. On the left below the road we see a picnic area with a view.

Équipement FERRIERE nikel. Nous avons poursuivi avec BRAS DES ÉTANGS, sur R5, il y a un éboulis sur la MC, ce qui rend R5 non accessible. Nous avons shunté en rive gauche après R4, où nous avons tiré 1 rappel de 30m sur arbre pour rejoindre bras rouge. Pour La Chapelle, nous sommes passés en dehors de l’actif par R6 bis, la MC d’accès aide bien pour atteindre le relais ! Pour le passage dans l’actif, nous n’avons pas vu de points. Beaucoup d’eau dans Bras des Étangs… ça arrose bien, mais passe nikel !Un des plus beau canyon de l’ile +++

Les 3 premiers rappels sont très sympas, le 3e (appelé petite émotion) avec un départ en plein gaz reste le plus beau. Les derniers rappels sont moins esthétiques mais l'ensemble en fait un canyon sympa. Enchaîné avec Bras des Étangs : la classe.
