Schöner Abseilcanyon im eher breiten Bachbett. Wenig eingeschnitten, aber dafür sehr kontinuierlich und mit wenig Gehpassagen.

Man fährt in das Verzascatal, durch Lavertezzo hindurch. Nach dem man den Bach auf der linken Seite passiert hat kann in einer Parkbucht links parken.

Drive into the Verzasca valley, through Lavertezzo. After passing the stream on the left, you can park in a parking bay on the left.

Von der Parkbucht die Straße weiter nach Norden folgen. Bei der 1. öffentlichen Brücke die Verzasca überqueren und den Wanderweg wieder Richtung Süden folgen. Nachdem es in den Wald geht zweigt nach 300m rechts der Wanderweg gelb blau gelbe Markierungen ab. Achtung der Abzweig ist nicht sehr gut zu sehen. Beim Abzweig sieht man auf hölzerne Wasserleitungen. Diesen Weg bis auf eine Höhe von 1240m folgen. Dort ist der Einstieg. Alternativ kann man den Umweg über die Brücke auch durch die Verzasca abkürzen und durch den Fluss laufen.

From the parking bay, follow the road further north. At the first public bridge, cross the Verzasca River and follow the hiking trail south again. After entering the forest, the trail branches off to the right after 300 meters, marked with yellow-blue-yellow signs. Note: The turnoff is not very easy to spot. At the turnoff, you’ll see wooden water pipes. Follow this path up to an elevation of 1240m. That’s where the entry is. Alternatively, you can shorten the detour over the bridge by walking through the Verzasca River.

Vom Einstieg bis zum Ausstieg hat der Canyon durchwegs Abseiler und ist sehr kontinuierlich. Längere Gehpassagen sind nahezu keine vorhanden. Beim letzten Abseiler (kommt nach einem 50m Abseiler von dem man schon die Straße sieht) nicht in die Ritze abseilen sondern auf den Rücken dahinter. Sonst kann man das Seil schlecht abziehen. Den Rücken dann folgen und absteigen bis zum Wanderweg.

From entry to exit, the canyon has rappels throughout and is very continuous. There are almost no longer walking passages. At the last rappel (comes after a 50m rappel from which you can already see the road) do not rappel into the crack but onto the back behind it. Otherwise it is difficult to pull off the rope. Then follow the ridge and descend to the hiking trail.

Am Wanderweg angekommen geht man durch die Verzasca zur Straße. Diese nach Norden bis zum Auto folgen.

Once you reach the hiking trail, walk through the Verzasca to the road. Follow this to the north until you reach the car.
