Von der B25 ins Steinbachtal abzweigen und bis zum Ende der öffentlichen Strasse beim Jagdschloss Steinbach fahren.

Turn off the B25 into the Steinbach valley and drive to the exit of the public road at the Steinbach hunting lodge.

Über die Sandstrasse etwa 2.5km in die Windischbachau im Talschluss wandern. Den Alplbach überqueren und dem markierten Wanderweg Richtung Tremel folgen bis man auf eine Forststraße trifft. Der Forststraße nach Osten bis zu einer Kehre folgen. Von hier auf einer bereits wieder zuwachsenden Forststraße zum Bach absteigen.

Hike along the sand road for about 2.5 km to Windischbachau at the head of the valley. Cross the Alplbach stream and follow the marked hiking trail towards Tremel until you reach a forest road. Follow the forest road eastwards until you reach a hairpin bend. From here, descend to the stream on a forest road that is already overgrown again.

Der erste Abbruch wird 12m rechts über einen Baum abgeseilt. Danach eine Reihe hübscher, derzeit leider verholzter Abseilstellen mit schönen Auswaschungen in einer niedrigen Klamm die zum höchsten Abseiler des Grabens führen. Ca. 30m gehts hier von einer Kette aus in die Tiefe. Im Hauptgraben angelangt gibts noch 2 Abseilstellen sowie diverse Rutsch- und Sprungmöglichkeiten Achtung: Aufgrund eines Baumverhaues droht die Abseilkette beim 30m Wasserfall im Kies zu versinken. Unbedingt Haken und Spitsetzer mitnehmen.

The first rappel is 12m to the right over a tree. Then a series of pretty, currently unfortunately woody rappels with beautiful washouts in a low gorge leading to the highest rappel of the ditch. From a chain, it goes about 30m into the depths. Once in the main trench, there are 2 more abseiling points as well as various slides and possible jumps Caution: Due to a tree entanglement, the abseiling chain at the 30m waterfall threatens to sink into the gravel. Be sure to take anchors and quickdraws with you.
