Zunächst dem Weg bis zu der Levada do Pico da Urze folgen, dann dieser Levada ein kurzes Stück folgen um zum Canyon Lajeado zu gelangen. Alternativer Zustieg: Parken Sie in Rabacal, von dort aus führen leichte 3,5 km entlang der Levada de Alecrim zum Canyon. Wenn man hier startet (und nicht 200m weiter oben), kann man sich eine längere Bachbettwanderung ersparen, aber man verpasst R1. Wenn man an diesem einfachen Sprung verzweifelt, kann man ihn immer noch von unten überklettern (weitere Sprünge folgen sowieso).

First follow the path to the Levada do Pico da Urze, then follow this levada for a short distance to reach the Lajeado canyon. Alternative access: Park in Rabacal, from there an easy 3.5km walk along the Levada de Alecrim to the canyon. If you start here (and not 200m further up), you can save yourself a longer streambed hike, but you will miss R1. If you despair at this easy jump, you can always climb over it from below (more jumps follow anyway).

Wir waren im erste Abschnitt, welcher vor allem für die sprungbegeisterten Canyonisten geeignet ist. Die höchste Abseilstelle in diesem Abschnitt misst 20 Meter. Der zweite Abschnitt schließt nahtlos mit einer 80 Meter Kaskade an. Später folgt noch ein 130 Meter hohe Kaskade.

We were in the first part, which is particularly suitable for canyoning enthusiasts who love jumping. The highest parts in this part measure 20 meters. The second part follows on seamlessly with an 80-meter cascade. This is followed later by a 130 meter high cascade.

Bei Ausstieg vor dem C80: Kurz vor dem C80 führt linksufrig ein Pfad aus dem Canyon hinaus. Am Anfang ein kurzes Stück sehr sportlich und steil, anschließend ein gemütlicher, wenn auch stätig bergaufführender Wanderweg.

The beginning is pure jumps (except for the 20m) and longer walks, the second part is a super airy descent pair with high drops and hanging belays. I'd recommend an alternative approach: park at Rabacal, from there an easy 3,5km along the Alecrim levada leads to the canyon. If started here (and not 200m above) a longer streambed walk can be spared, but R1 is missed. If you are desparate about this easy jump, it can still be climbed over from the bottom. (More jumps follow anyway.) The 80m fall have two splits, one at 8m, this one is free hanging, and one 32m lower, that one is wet. One can choose. :) As for the 130m, there is a highly unofficial way to desert at the Risco levada that crosses the drop at half way. To reach this from the upper anchor (R11, free hanging, what else...) you need 60m rope. There is a closed gate at the end but it can be climbed over. From there appr. 2km flat leads to the Rabacal house where you can take the shuttle (try to look dry).
