Von Karak fahren wir zunächst etwa 4 km auf der "50" in östlicher Richtung. Dann biegen wir nach Norden ab auf die "35", den "Kings Highway". Nach 7 km auf der "35" biegen wir in einer locker bebauten Siedlung erneut links ab (Wegweiser: "Batir", Wadi Ibn Hammad, Rakin" und brauner Wegweiser: "Wadi bin Hammad Hotspring 20 km"). Nach etwa 2,9 km auf dieser Straße kommen wir an einen Kreisverkehr (inmitten eine Pyramide)und nehmen hier die erste Ausfahrt Richtung Nordwesten. 680m weiter fahren wir an der T-Kreuzung rechts. Nach weiteren 2,9 km mündet von rechts bei einer Moschee eine Straße ein. Noch einmal 730 m weiter und wir nehmen bei einer Verzweigung die Straße nach rechts. In der Folge fahren wir auf der Hauptstraße durch den Ort - rechts sehen wir eine Schule mit Moschee - und fahren dann in Serpentinen steil abwärts. Die Straße zieht weiter kontinuierlich abwärts und wir kommen zum Wadi, durchfahren es auf einer Furt und stellen jenseits unser Auto ab. Siehe: * https://goo.gl/photos/1FNGHc9sp45tjCke8 (Zufahrt)

From Karak, we first drive about 4 km on the "50" in an easterly direction. Then we turn north onto the "35", the "Kings Highway". After 7 km on the "35", we turn left again in a loosely built-up settlement (signpost: "Batir", Wadi Ibn Hammad, Rakin" and brown signpost: "Wadi bin Hammad Hotspring 20 km"). After about 2.9 km on this road, we come to a traffic circle (in the middle of a pyramid) and take the first exit to the northwest. 680m further on we turn right at the T-junction. After a further 2.9 km, a road joins from the right at a mosque. Continue for another 730 m and take the road to the right at a junction. We continue on the main road through the village - on the right we see a school with a mosque - and then descend steeply in serpentines. Vom Parkplatz die Straße weiter, dann den Fußweg hinunter zur Brücke, die zum Bad hinüberführt, und an der Brücke rechts hinunter in das Wadi.

From the parking lot, continue along the road, then take the footpath down to the bridge that leads over to the baths, and at the bridge turn right down into the wadi.

Im lauwarmen Thermalwasser zwischen den eng stehenden Schluchtwänden bachab. An den Schluchtwänden reiche Vegetation und Versinterungen, die einmal auch eine Art Dach über der Schlucht bilden. Dort auch ein 4m - Abseiler, der bei einer Flash Flood entstanden ist (für Kletterer auch ohne Seil machbar). Schließlich tritt man aus der Schlucht hinaus in ein breites Sand- und Kiesbett. Offenbar kann man auch zunächst am linken Hang abwärts gehen und dann über eine wasserführende Seitenschlucht in das Wadi (ca. 5m) hineinseilen.

Down the stream in the lukewarm thermal water between the narrow gorge walls. The canyon walls are rich in vegetation and sintering, which once formed a kind of roof over the canyon. There is also a 4m rappel that was created during a flash flood (can also be done by climbers without a rope). Finally, you emerge from the canyon into a wide bed of sand and gravel. Apparently you can also go down the left slope first and then abseil into the wadi (approx. 5m) via a water-bearing side gorge.

Ein Weiterweg lohnt nicht; so geht man wieder durch die Schlucht zurück. Ein Besuch des Thermalbades - Männlein u. Weiblein getrennt - lohnt sich.

It's not worth continuing, so you walk back through the canyon. A visit to the thermal baths - men and women separately - is worthwhile.
