Von der Straße Barbastro - Huesca (N-240) etwa 25 km nach Barbastro rechts ab auf die A- 229 in Richtung Abiego, Rodellar. Einige hundert Meter nach Abiego links ab und nach Bierge. Wenige Meter vor Erreichen der Ortschaft Bierge geht es rechts ab und unmittelbar danach links in Richtung Rodellar ('Bco. de Mascun'). Nach 9,7 km kommt man auf einen Sattel, wo bei einem Schild 'Barranco Fondo 840m' (große Abfallbehälter) rechts eine Piste in nördlicher Richtung abzweigt. Hier fahren wir rechts ab auf eine Piste. Etwa 700 m weiter erreichen wir eine aussichtsreiche Hochfläche, wo wir das Auto abstellen. \nFalls man ein zweites Fahrzeug zur Verfügung hat, die abgehende Piste ca. 2,5 km weiterfahren bis zum Parkplatz für Balcés Oscuros, B. Estrechos und B. Sup. - 2. Abschnitt (vgl. dort!). Dort Fahrzeug für Rückfahrt parken.
From the road Barbastro - Huesca (N-240) about 25 km after Barbastro turn right on the A- 229 in the direction of Abiego, Rodellar. A few hundred meters after Abiego, turn left towards Bierge. A few meters before reaching Bierge, turn right and immediately left towards Rodellar ( Bco. de Mascun). After 9.7 km we reach a saddle where, at a sign 'Barranco Fondo 840m' (large waste garbage cans), a dirt road branches off to the right in a northerly direction. Here we turn right onto a dirt road. About 700m further on we reach a high plateau with a great view, where we park the car. \If you have a second vehicle available, continue on the outgoing dirt road for about 2.5 km until you reach the parking lot for Balcés Oscuros, B. Estrechos and B. Sup. - 2nd part (see there!). There park vehicle for return trip.

Der Canyon beginnt auf dem Absatz, der unterhalb der Fläche liegt, wo wir das Auto abgestellt haben. Auf diesem Absatz nun wieder in südlicher Richtung. Die ersten beiden Rinnen, die nun links hinabziehen sind Äste des Barranco Estrecho, die nächste Rinne wäre der Barranco Fontaneta. Das Gelände ist unübersichtlich, also etwas Orientierungs- und Spür-Sinn gefragt. Beide Canyons münden den Rio Isuala (am Beginn der Balcés Estrechos). Wir gehen nun zum Einstieg in den linken Ast des Barranco Estrecho.
The canyon begins on the ledge below the area where we left the car. In order to reach this ledge, we go without a path along the edge of the slope on the left (direction NE) slightly downhill until we can turn right onto the said ledge. On this ledge now again in southern direction. The first two chutes that now descend on the left are branches of the Barranco Estrecho, the next chute would be the Barranco Fontaneta. The terrain is confusing, so some orientation and tracking sense is needed. Both canyons join the Rio Isuala (at the beginning of the Balcés Estrechos). We now go to the entry of the left branch of Barranco Estrecho.
