Ötztal taleinwärts. Nach der Tankstelle die nächste rechts rein und bei der Volksschule parken.

Head into the Ötztal valley. After the gas station, take the next right and park at the elementary school.

Vom Parkplatz auf Schotterstrasse hoch Richtung Tumpenalm. Nach der 11ten Kehre zweigt ein Weg ab nach rechts. Diesem bis in den Bach folgen

From the parking lot, head up the gravel road toward Tumpenalm. After the 11th haipin bend, a trail branches off to the right. Follow this trail down to the stream.

Sicher eine der anspruchsvollen Touren im Ötztal. Im Sommer meist zu viel Wasser, erst ab Spätherbst begehbar. Oben noch recht gemütlich wird es schnell ernsthafter und die Engstelle zum Schluss sollte nur bei optimalen Bedingungen begangen werden. Es kann davor bei der Aussichtskanzel ausgestiegen werden. Immer rutschig. Toll für Liebhaber hoher Wasserstände.

Definitely one of the most challenging hikes in the Ötztal. In summer, there’s usually too much water; it’s only passable starting in late fall. While the upper section is still fairly easy, the route quickly becomes more serious, and the narrow passage at the end should only be attempted under optimal conditions. You can exit the route earlier at the viewing platform. Always slippery. Great for those who love high water levels.

At the wooden bridge, turn right onto the gravel path back to the road
