This is a simple round - trip aquatic hike through the gorge formed by the Gordana River. The narrow passage is geologically unique and definitely worth a visit.

This is a simple round - trip aquatic hike through the gorge formed by the Gordana River. The narrow passage is geologically unique and definitely worth a visit.

Access: Leave the A15 Cisa motorway at Pontremoli and head towards Zeri. After the first few curves, about 1 km after passing under the motorway pylons, take the left fork downhill towards Cavezzana Gordana. Continue past a group of houses until you reach a sharp left turn, where a dirt road descends along the outside of the curve. From here, after a few hundred meters, you'll reach a clearing (a chain prevents cars from entering).

Approach: continue beyond the chain (left orographic bank) and quickly reach the stream. Another hundred meters or so along the riverbed and you'll reach the entrance to the gorge.

Note: On weekends in the height of summer, you'll be surrounded by tourists in flip-flops and swimsuits, people who get cold and suffer... bring a wetsuit and helmet.

Return: same route as the outward journey.
