Auf der A 1 von Florenz kommend, vorbei an Arezzo und Orvieto, verlässt man diese 41 km nach Orvieto auf der Ausfahrt Orte und fährt weiter auf der SS 204 in nordöstlicher Richtung nach Terni. Noch muss man die Stadt durchqueren, um auf die SS 209 ('Valnerina') zu kommen, die das Tal der Nera in Richtung Visso hochzieht. Nach 33,5 km ab Stadtmitte Terni erreicht man die Kreuzung, wo die neue Straße in Richtung Spoleto/Foligno abzweigt. Man bleibt jedoch weiter auf der SS 209 im Tal der Nera und erreicht nach 6 km 'L'Eremita', eine Kirche mit Wohnhaus und Friedhof links der Straße. Hier das Auto abstellen.
Coming from Florence on the A1, passing Arezzo and Orvieto, leave it 41 km after Orvieto at the Orte exit and continue on the SS 204 in a northeasterly direction to Terni. You still have to cross the city to get onto the SS 209 ('Valnerina') which goes up the valley of the Nera towards Visso. After 33.5 km from the center of Terni, you reach the crossroads where the new road branches off in the direction of Spoleto/Foligno. However, continue along the SS 209 in the valley of the Nera and after 6 km you will reach 'L'Eremita', a church with a house and a cemetery on the left of the road. Park the car here.

Vom Parkplatz auf Steig oberhalb des Friedhofs in Richtung Schluchtausgang, dann links (südwestwärts) über den Bach. Man folgt dem Pfad am orografisch rechten Ufer, der nach etwa 200 m links den Hang hinaufzieht. Man steigt im steil hinauf zu einem felsigen Sattel und von da jenseits rechts hinunter zum Bach.
From the parking lot, take the path above the cemetery towards the canyon exit, then turn left (southwest) across the stream. Follow the path on the orographic right bank, which after about 200 m turns left up the slope. The path climbs steeply up to a rocky saddle and from there descends to the right down to the stream.
