Von der Autobahn N 3 Zürich-Chur nehmen wir die Abfahrt Bilten/Rotbrugg (Nr.43) - 5,5 km nach der Ausfahrt Weesen/Amden am Westende des Walensees - in Richtung St. Gallen/Schänis und fahren nach nach Kaltbrunn-Steinenbrücke (7 km ab Autobahnausfahrt). Kurz nach dem Ortseingang biegen wir rechts ab in die Wengistraße. Dieser folgen wir nun 6,6 km , bis der Wengibach auf einer überdachten Brücke überquert wird. Hier stellen wir das Auto ab.

From the highway N 3 Zurich-Chur we take the exit Bilten/Rotbrugg (No.43) - 5.5 km after the exit Weesen/Amden at the western end of the Walensee - in the direction of St. Gallen/Schänis and drive to Kaltbrunn-Steinenbrücke (7 km from the highway exit). Shortly after entering the village, turn right into Wengistraße. We now follow this road for 6.6 km until we cross the Wengibach on a covered bridge. We park the car here.

Auf der Straße weiter, an Vorderwengi (Wirtschaft) vorbei bis Mittlerwengi (jew. 2 kleine Gehöfte links der Str.) 1,7 km bergan. In der Linkskurve, wo sich das Strässchen vom Waldrand entfernt, nach rechts über den freien Hang zum hier flachen Bachbett absteigen. Einige Meter bachab kommen wir zum ersten Wasserfall.

Continue on the road, past Vorderwengi (inn) to Mittlerwengi (2 small farmsteads on the left of the road) 1.7 km uphill. In the bend to the left, where the road leaves the edge of the forest, descend to the right over the free slope to the streambed, which is shallow here. A few meters downstream you come to the first waterfall.
