in pontebba auf sie SP112 auffahren und dieser bis zu der Ortschaft Saps / Isaps folgen. Dort hoch fahren und auf dem offensichtlichen (einzigen) Parkplatz parken.

In Pontebba, take the SP112 and follow it to the village of Saps / Isaps. Drive up there and park in the obvious (only) parking lot.

Vom Parkplatz aus am Brunnen vorbei auf den Weg starten. in der ersten Linkskehre nach rechts abbiegen und über den Hang schräg hinauf (leichte Fahrzeugspuren) entlang bis deutlicher weg im Wald zu sehen ist. Diesem am Hang entlang ins Tal nach hinten folgen. Abzweigung nach Links ignorieren - von dort aus bergab bis zum Bach absteigen. ca 25min

From the parking lot, start on the trail past the fountain. At the first leftward haipin bend, turn right and head diagonally uphill along the slope (faint vehicle tracks) until you see a distinct trail in the forest. Follow this trail along the slope into the valley. Ignore the turnoff to the left—from there, descend downhill to the stream. Approx. 25 min

Gleich zu beginn ist der attraktivste Abseiler: 40m in einem sehr schönen Felstor. Achtung bei viel Wasser ist dieser Abseiler sicher gefährlich - ist dieser allerdings machbar, geht auch der restliche Canyon. Stand Rechts - führt direkt durch Wasserstrahl! Unten angekommen findet man links den Stand für die kleine 4m stufe - ist evtl abkletterbar im Wasserlauf. Darunter netter, kleiner Pool. Noch zwei kleine Abseiler an der Linken seite bis max 6m und ab dann nur noch Blockhüpfen bis zum ausstieg. Die Blockpassage ist überraschend schön und hat zwischendurch sehr schöne gesteinsformen, nette Pools und Ansätze von "Wald / Dschungel" Passagen. ca 1h Kurze Geschichte zu diesem Canyon: Beim einbauen verunfallte eine der beiden Personen - beide Knöchel gebrochen, gleich beim ersten Wasserfall. Das Handy hatte Netzprobleme und so konnten wir keinen Notruf absetzen. Also mussten wir den Canyon fertig einbohren und der Autor musste die Verletzte Person 4h am Rücken hinaustragen und unterstützt abseilen und sichern.

Right at the start is the most attractive rappel: 40 meters through a very beautiful rock arch. Caution: when water levels are high, this rappel is definitely dangerous—but if it’s doable, the rest of the canyon is manageable too. The belay station is on the right—it leads directly through a water jet! Once you reach the bottom, you’ll find the belay station for the small 4-meter step on the left—it may be possible to climb down through the watercourse. Below that is a nice, small pool. There are two more short rappels on the left side, up to 6 meters, and from there on, it’s just hopping over boulders to the exit. The boulder section is surprisingly beautiful and features some very striking rock formations, nice pools, and hints of “forest/jungle” passages. About 1 hour A brief history of this canyon: While setting up the route, one of the two people had an accident—breaking both ankles right at the first waterfall. The cell phone had reception issues, so we couldn’t make an emergency call. We therefore had to finish bolting the canyon, and the author had to carry the injured person out on his back for 4 hours, assisting with rappelling and belaying.

Vom Ausstieg ( sehr offensichtlich, da wo die Straße quert) links der Straße entlang bis zur Abzweigung in die Ortschaft. Serpentienen hoch bis zum Auto. Alternativ auch mit 2 Autos machbar! ca 20min (mit 2 Autos kein Rückweg, man kann Direkt bei Ausstieg parken!)

From the exit (very obvious—right where the road crosses), follow the road to the left until you reach the turnoff into the village. Follow the switchbacks up to the car. Alternatively, this can also be done with two cars! About 20 minutes (with two cars, there’s no need to backtrack—you can park right at the exit!)
