Von der Autobahnabfahrt Piovene-Rocchette ins Val d'Astico hinein. In Ponteposta bei einem kleinen Park mit Trinkwasserbrunnen und Picknicktischen parken.

From the Piovene-Rocchette highway exit, head into the Val d'Astico. Park in Ponteposta at a small park with a drinking fountain and picnic tables.

Kurz auf der Straße flußabwärts und dann nach rechts auf eine Asphaltstraße abzweigen. Der Straße bis knapp vor ihren Ende folgen, dann nach links unterm Gebäude durch entlang der Wanderwegmarkierung ins Val Rua abzweigen. Bei der ersten markanten Kehre zweigt ein deutlich Steig nach links ab, hier führt ein teilweise seilgesichterter Abstieg zum Zwischeneinstieg nach dem 25m Wasserfall hinunter. Will man die gesamte Schlucht begehen gehts weiter dem Wanderweg entlang bergauf. Nach einer längeren, ansteigenden Querung sieht man linkerhand ein meist trockenes Bachbett, wenn sich der Wanderweg wieder nach rechts vom Bachbett entfernt, zweigt links ein deutlicher Steig ab. Auf diesen Steig ansteigend bzw. querend ins Val Rua hinein. Sobald man nur mehr ca. 15m oberhalb vom Bachbett ist links über Steigspuren absteigen.

Walk briefly down the road toward the river and then turn right onto an asphalt road. Follow the road until just before the exit, then turn left, passing under the building and following the trail markers into Val Rua. At the first prominent haipin bend, a distinct path branches off to the left; here, a descent—partly secured with ropes—leads down to the intermediate access point after the 25-meter waterfall. If you want to hike the entire canyon, continue uphill along the hiking trail. After a long, uphill traverse, you’ll see a mostly dry streambed on your left; when the trail veers right away from the streambed again, a distinct path branches off to the left. Follow this path uphill or cross into Val Rua. As soon as you are only about 15 meters above the streambed, descend to the left along the path marks.

Zunächst meist noch trocken und über Abkletterpassagen und einen 10m Abseiler bis zu einem wasserführenden Seitengraben. Danach zuächst noch mit kleinen Abseilstellen in einer dunklen Waldschlucht bevor sich langsam eine überraschend tiefe Klamm in den Berg schneidet. Die Klamm endet mit einem tollen 15m Abseiler (springbar), gefolgt von einem 25m Abseiler in ein großes Becken. Hier mündet der alternative Zustiegssteig von links ein. Der untere, auch touristisch begangene Teil ist etwas offener und bietet Sprung- und Rutschmöglichkeiten bis 8m

At first, the route is mostly dry, with downclimbs and a 10-meter rappel leading down to a water-filled side gully. After that, there are initially a few short rappels in a dark forest gorge before the trail gradually cuts its way into the mountain, forming a surprisingly deep gorge. The gorge exits with a fantastic 15-meter rappel (jumpable), followed by a 25-meter rappel into a large pool. The alternative approach trail joins here from the left. The lower section, which is also frequented by tourists, is somewhat more open and offers opportunities for jumping and slides down to 8 meters.
