Folgen Sie derselben Zufahrt wie in den Wegbeschreibungen für Terme (oben) und (unten) angegeben. Verlassen Sie am Ortsausgang von Amélie-les-Bains die Straße links gegenüber dem Stadion, die nach Montalba (D53) und zum Mas Pagris (D53B) hinaufführt. Am Fuße des großen Wasserfalls von Can Mascarat (Salt de l'Aigue) am Straßenrand am Beginn der Abzweigung nach Montalba parken.

Follow the same access road as indicated in the directions for Terme (above) and (below). On leaving Amélie-les-Bains, take the road on the left opposite the stadium, which goes up to Montalba (D53) and Mas Pagris (D53B). At the foot of the large waterfall of Can Mascarat (Salt de l'Aigue), park at the side of the road at the start of the turn-off to Montalba.

Folgen Sie zu Fuß der D53B in Richtung Mas Pagris, dann gehen Sie 400 Meter weiter und nehmen den einzigen, blau markierten Weg auf der rechten Seite. Steigen Sie hinauf, bis Sie auf zwei Wege in Y-Form treffen, nehmen Sie den rechten Weg für etwa 100 Meter und steigen Sie dann direkt in Serpentinen unter dem Eichenwald bis zum eingeengten Ausgangspunkt hinab. Gehen Sie nicht weiter bis zu den Steinmauern, da der Weg ab diesem Punkt entlang des Wasserlaufs sehr stark mit Gestrüpp bewachsen ist.

Follow the D53B on foot in the direction of Mas Pagris, then continue for 400 meters and take the only blue-marked path on the right. Climb up until you meet two paths in a Y shape, take the right-hand path for about 100 meters and then descend directly in switchbacks under the oak forest to the narrowed starting point. Do not continue as far as the stone walls, as the path is very overgrown with scrub from this point along the watercourse.

Rn°1: C12 ANRG Salt de l'Aigue: C47 geteilt = Rn°2 R10 RD (aus dem Wasser in Richtung des rechten Uferteils) + Rn°3 R45 RD. - Man gelangt direkt zum oberen Ende des großen Wasserfalls, indem man vom Parkplatz aus den Felsvorsprung umgeht und hinter der kleinen Bushaltestelle vorbeigeht.

Rn°1: C12 ANRG Salt de l'Aigue: C47 split = Rn°2 R10 RD (out of the water towards the right bank) + Rn°3 R45 RD. - You can get directly to the exit of the large waterfall by going around the ledge from the parking lot and passing behind the small bus stop.

Unbedingt im Frühling oder nach sehr starken Regenfällen zu unternehmen, um die Schlucht in gutem Zustand zu durchqueren. Man kann die Tour auch unter anderen Bedingungen unternehmen, d. h. selbst wenn es völlig trocken ist, in „Long John“ oder Wanderkleidung; es bleibt dennoch ein sehr schönes Erlebnis, wenn man am selben Tag noch eine zweite Schlucht im Tal mit einbindet.

Definitely to be done in spring or after very heavy rainfall to cross the canyon in good condition. You can also do the tour in other conditions, i.e. even if it is completely dry, in "long john" or hiking clothes; it still remains a very nice experience if you include a second canyon in the valley on the same day.
