Wir verlassen die A5 über die Ausfahrt Solothurn-West und fahren auf der Weissensteinerstraße nordwärts nach Oberdorf. Dort stellen wir unser Auto beim Alters- und Pflegeheim Bellevue im Nordosten der Ortschaft ab (siehe Luftbilder in Fotogalerie). Auch eine Autoumsetzung ist möglich (zweites Auto bei der Mittelstation der Weissensteinbahn).
We leave the A5 at the Solothurn-West exit and drive northwards on Weissensteinerstrasse to Oberdorf. There we park our car at the Bellevue retirement and nursing home in the north-east of the village (see aerial photos in the photo gallery). A shuttle is also possible (second car at the middle station of the Weissensteinbahn).

Wir folgen dem Forstweg in nordöstlicher Richtung und nehmen dann den Steig, der am orograf. rechten Hang über dem Chesselbach hinaufzieht. Oben angelangt halten wir dort, wo der Pfad nach links schwenkt, rechts hinunter in das Bachbett (siehe Karte in Fotogalerie bei carto.net).
We follow the forest path in a north-easterly direction and then take the path that climbs up the orographic right-hand slope above the Chesselbach. At the top, where the path turns left, we keep right down into the streambed (see map in photo gallery at carto.net).
